Never cease to amaze me how people don't stop and think of the consequences before they act. Was CS worth spending the rest of your life in prison ? IMO, KA under normal circumstances would have had suitors lined up at her door.

Is KA mentally ill or just unable to handle rejection/bad news without revenge ? This modus operandi seems very prevalent in today's society from this case to the boys that bludgeoned a Spanish teacher to death over a bad grade. Perhaps all HS and even college students should be forced to visit a maximum security prison to see that there are no Starbucks, video games & internet dating sites.
All true. I’m also wondering if the use of certain substances may have played in. I read an article a couple of years ago by a physician who said that there was a correlation between marijuana use ( the more potent kind of this era), mushrooms, etc and that people were basically in the dark about these statistics.

KA did ingest these, and I can definitely see it lowering inhibitions.

According to research studies, marijuana use causes aggressive behavior, causes or exacerbates psychosis, and produces paranoia. These effects have been illustrated through case studies of highly publicized incidents and heightened political profiles.

These cases contain examples of repeated illustrations of aggression, psychosis and paranoia by marijuana users and intoxication. Ultimately, without the use and intoxication of marijuana, the poor judgment and misperceptions displayed by these individuals would not have been present, reducing the risk for actions that result in senseless deaths.

Import to these assertions, is that the current marijuana is far more potent in THC concentrations, the psychoactive component. Accordingly, and demonstrated in direct studies, more potent marijuana results in a greater risk for paranoid thinking and psychosis. In turn, paranoid behavior increases the risk for paranoid behaviors and predictably associated with aggressive and violent behaviors.

  1. Marijuana use causes violent behavior through increased aggressiveness, paranoia, and personality changes (more suspicious, aggressive, and anger).
  2. Recent illicit and “medical marijuana” (especially grown by care givers for medical marijuana) is of much high potency and more likely to cause violent behavior.
  3. Marijuana use and its adverse effects should be considered in cases of acts of violence as its role is properly assigned to its high association.
  4. Recognize that high potency marijuana is a predictable and preventable cause of tragic violent consequences.

Just can't get past these two incredible womens lives destroyed.........
For Colin.

A cheating selfish cold callous nobody....life goes on to do it all again for him.

Mo was a natural beauty, they both where.
Caitlyn has the most beautiful cheek bones and hair.
The surgeries did her no favours. But I am sure she knew all that going in the sacrifices she was making.

Just.... meh.
It’s mind boggling.

And you are right. Both young ladies had so much going for them. Especially Mo! And yes, it pains me to say it but KA was a beautiful all American looking girl before all this happened. I love her hair. She could have found a new love interest easily I’m sure. Why Mo got under KA’s skin so deeply we will never know. Colin seemed to be a playboy who fooled around with a lot of women. However, I have a feeling that Mo’s beauty and inner light was just to big and bright for KA’s jealousy and she couldn’t control it.

Such a very tragic case.

I wonder if it was Cofer?
Probably? She has to have an appellate attorney now, right?

Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about! I haven’t had my coffee yet.

No, I think you’re probably right on both.

The book "I hate you don't leave me" opened my eyes years ago to the lengths some people would go to in order to keep a relationship that was destructive to both individuals. It answered many questions for me personally.

And the scorched ground of the many people a person could harm in the midst of punishing the person they hated but did not want to leave them.

I've seen that same expression on KA's face on someone else when their attempts at total destruction were for nothing.

KA will never admit she did something wrong. Nor will she accept that she did. She was only erasing the pain she felt someone else did to her but her soul is black and nothing will ever fill that empty black hole.

It's so terribly awful the many lives KA did ruin to punish only one person for possibly leaving her. She would never have harmed Colin. It was all for him after all.
Thank you for posting this, @sassyblue. This is KA in a nutshell. moo

Thinking about what Cash said-- (what an amazing woman, clearly so intelligent, and an amazing friend).

Is it to be expected or was it not really okay that she didn't get to wash up, etc until at the police station? Was she treated properly?

This is so powerful. Really spoke to me just due to some circumstances in my personal life.
Thank you so much for posting this!
Agree. MW's family so gracious - speaks volumes and it's true to be careful with all people you associate yourself with in all circumstances in your life. moo

If only there was something different KA could have done

the murder of Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson

“Other than the prosecution team, there really are no winners here. This sad story is a perfect example of why integrity and honesty are crucial in our personal relationships, and how dishonesty can often lead to unintended consequences. Selfish manipulation, jealousy and hatred never lead to good outcomes. Violence is never a good way to solve personal issues, in fact, violence doesn’t solve anything but only leads to more suffering.”

Why is everyone so convinced it would have been different if CS had told KA that he was meeting the victim that afternoon?

KA look is of a sociopath, imo. Not a professional, amateur opinion.

Cash’s apartment was a crime scene, so she wouldn’t have been able to wash up at home. Mo’s body was on the bathroom floor. :(

Cash also stated she was questioned by police for 3 hours. I assume she had to be considered a suspect, initially.

Police followed homicide investigation protocol, so ok in the sense of correctness. But certainly unfair to Cash, who walked into a scene from hell and tried to save MO’s life. We can thank KA for the unfairness.

Cash is such a brave young woman.
I have so much respect for her.

Ah, true, that all does make sense. The scene did have to be treated carefully.

While I agree with Mr. Wilson, I don’t like that he seems to be saying that Colin bears some responsibility here. No one, no matter how badly they treat their girlfriend, should expect that girlfriend to kill someone.

And some people are still bashing him.

I like that Cash mentioned Colin’s suffering at KA’s hands. He is a victim too, IMO.

Do they give sedatives to people on trial? Wouldn’t they want the defendant alert so they could participate and hear their own trial - prosecution and defense?

She didn’t really appear any different to me than from the previous photos we’ve seen after her capture. She had that same distant look in her mug shots. I just think at this point that she perhaps is void of any feeling, or she’s in shock. I have no idea.
I've been wondering about this, too. Maybe not a sedative exactly but possibly an antidepressant/anxiety med? Her lack of visible emotion could be due to a number of things (sociopath, fear, medication, silent meditation to get through the trial, dissociation, or even a combo of those). I suppose we'll never really know but imo, she looks medicated.

On an airplane and heading home after about a month away. From manhunts to mass shooters to murder trials, each of the stories I've been tasked with covering have been unspeakable tragedies. But I am in profound awe at the grace and strength I've witnessed from the victims and families I've met along the way. I pray for peace for each of you and I thank you for trusting me to share your stories.

I hear you.
I don’t think he is but just pointing out that dishonesty has unintended consequences. Which it can. I think he just wanted that to be said in general. I don’t think it’s a horrible thing to say and it’s an unfortunate reality in this situation.
Of course it’s not Colin’s fault. But he wasn’t honest with Mo and certainly she didn’t know he had to hide her identity from KA. Maybe she wouldn’t have met up with him if she knew that?

Just another lie KA told herself, IMO. She was far more deceptive than CS, on all the levels.

IMO she have gone off the rails sooner, had he told her. Be knew she was petulant, immature, jealous.

He did not know she was a murderer.

Only KA knew that about herself, knowledge she honed.

I believe KA showed poor judgement by using illegal substances in the first place. IMO her problems were not caused by a bad batch of brownies. Something isn't right with that woman...something is missing and it's anyone's guess as to why she is the way she is.
