Apologies if this story has been posted. The..wait for it…yea, it’s The Sun on site at the campsite location in New York.

(Includes a photo I’ve never seen before of KA but not posting it here as it is with CA)

Some points from the article:

1. Camp Haven takes in the disenfranchised. This may have been why CA and KA chose it. But their cover has been blown.

2. The seriousness of aiding/abetting post-warrant.

3. No one in the town saw them — only at the camp.

4. PI believes she will hide until caught or kills herself. Agree.

Yes, very striking photo.

From your link...

A potential lead in the case emerged earlier this week when an anonymous dweller at a hippy wellness retreat near Livingston Manor in upstate New York claimed to have seen Armstrong at the site around a month ago.

It's been a while since I have heard the word "hippy" used to describe anything. Sounds like a commune straight out of the 70's to me, Quite honestly, it is probably a great place to hide for a while, but this does not seem like the kind of place KA would want to be at long term. She is fit and athletic, and surely in touch with nature, but you can tell from her pics, she also has a girly-girl side to her. JMO

Yes, I agree. In any case, KA and CA’s cover has been blown for that area, if indeed they we’re planning on her hiding out their long term.

Apologies if this has already been answered:
But was CA already there, and KA fled there after the murder — or did CA go there so her sister would have a place to hide?

I think the media can't really be trusted to be accurate, only the police really know what is going on. I just cannot see
justification for this crime. These young people are all successful, claiming no worries, just friends. Yet there actions and communication can be misconstrued. I don't buy tipsters to be reliable, there is always a element of jealousy when people are successful

I’d take with a grain of salt but this article quotes an anonymous camper and it sounds like that person is saying the relative has been there for some time.

Also here, duration of relative being there is unknown but long enough to be listed as some type of volunteer on the organizations website.

Interesting she appears to have bought two homes outright, one in April and one in May 2021. 34 years old and you have money to buy 2 houses in 2 months. I realize that there is money in real estate, how many more does she own? If this young woman and her sister have mega amounts of money there is no telling what these two are up to.

I read somewhere that she was flipping houses, so maybe she bought these two houses at auction/sheriff's sale due to foreclosure and either rented them or flipped them, or planned to flip them.

I feel he has a long-standing character problem. If it were a facade, there might be hope of change.

You notice in the interview he does not sincerely mourn MW. He tries to distance himself from KA.

What does he say?
Asked if he believes the claims that Armstrong may be posing as her sister Christine, Strickland said: “How is that relevant to me?

“I am working on *advertiser censored****g cars all day, that’s what I’m doing.

“I’m not following the *advertiser censored****g news, it’s not in my realm of control.

“There’s nothing I can do except drive myself crazy. That’s really it.

“My heart goes out to everyone who was more deeply traumatized by this than I was.”

Emphasis mine. I rest my case.

MOO
Agreed. Nothing he said painted him in a very favorable light, but the bolded statement jumped out at me as particularly cold.

First the extremely awkward statement released after KA was charged, now this.. he should really stick to “sorry I can’t comment”.

I wonder if having funds such as these will enable her to begin anew outside of the US. I really wonder how the authorities are going to be able to apprehend a fugitive with these means.

It could depend on how well she can adapt to life with out western creature comforts and safety.

Developing countries can be surprisingly expensive (even more expensive than the USA) to live in- if one is unwilling to forgo western creature comforts and is also unwilling to forgo safe environments.

Basically, unlike KA's probable experience in Austin where safe, upper middle class housing is readily available, developing countries can have very limited supplies of such housing and associated safety. This limited housing inventory is then chased by wealthy locals, western expatriates, foreign businessmen etc. This drives prices up, and up.

Developing countries can also be unfriendly towards credit cards for transactions where they would be readily accepted in the developed world. This, in turn, can then lead to the need for constant supply of cash and could increase vulnerability to tracing.

Thanks, I wasn’t aware of that. Maybe she’s still in the US…..

Since KA appears to have fled to NY state and her sister right after being questioned by police, I wonder if that was her long term plan. At the time, she may have thought that without a full interrogation, she couldn’t be charged with murder.

Then, when the warrant went out on May 17, and she was hastily dropped at Newark airport on May 18, did she just have to wing it from that point on, no longer able to have contact with her sister due to the new aiding and abetting concerns that the warrant brought….

Further thoughts, too late to edit into above post:

She may have been dropped at Newark airport with literally no plan at all, and it makes you wonder what she finally thought of and settled on.

It’s clear that she wanted to be in the safety and familiarity of her sister’s company. It’s going to be hard-going on her own.

The temptation to have continued talk with her sister and father must be very great. I wonder if she has attempted it in the last 30 days since the drop off, despite knowing the extreme danger to them and herself?

I wonder how she will react to CS's interview published by The Sun.

He possibly meant her closer family, and that it's not him suffering the most, but that's giving him the benefit of the doubt it maybe doesn't deserve, it comes across as extremely cold. He could do with not speaking if he genuinely cares about how her family must be feeling.

That's not the impression that I had after reading the text that MW sent to CS about her confusion regarding seeing him at one of the events. She apparently thought that they were more than just friends, according to her text. And in CS's text response to MW, he didn't set the record straight, but rather he implied that it was poor judgement on his part to have brought KA along to the event in question, and implied that she was there in some capcity other than as his romantic partner.

I agree, that text definitely sounded confused. Unfortunately MW will never be able to say how she felt, but his comment that she was essentially intelligent enough to know better (paraphrasing) is actually offensive as she clearly thought they had something.

If he is determined to keep speaking to the media he would be better to keep his thoughts about himself to the side and appeal directly to KA to hand herself in.

If you ever find yourself in a toxic relationship, get out as soon as the red flags show.

Haven't heard him appeal to her at all. Very telling the way he continues to distance himself. As I have said before, he is the most obtuse angle in the triangle. And continues to be so. What did he know and when did he know it?

Sadly, MW was so young and put her trust in this guy who was not being honest with her about where the relationship stood and where it was going, or not going. He seems to have wanted to stay with his live-in girlfriend and have a special relationship with MW at the same time, whether it was platonic or not platonic at that stage, it doesn't matter.

We've talked on here about how MW would likely have eventually figured it all out/sorted it out, and moved on from her attraction to CS, but she never had the time, she was gunned down in the midst of this confusing relationship. Who knows what CS was telling her. We only have that text as information, and from the sounds of it, he was leading her on, not being honest with her. He knew if he told her the truth, that he was staying with KA, that MW would have moved on.
