I don’t have the time or focus right now for the linked info, but withholding information on the federal (US Marshals) level is probably a crime. Her family I’m sure has been instructed to inform them if she calls or discloses her whereabouts of plans:

In Western WA, most people still wear masks outside. If someone doesn’t, it is probably OK, but if someone does, it won’t be surprising.
In terms of where to hide without leaving the country, I’d say the northern parts of both coasts are surprisingly good.
In North England, the type of living on a decent parcel of land, with trees, in an old barn converted into the house, especially if working from the home, has gained popularity a while ago. This is when the neighbors will never notice if one of them got a new girlfriend, because they are, truly, uncurious, and people around are physically unseen. To notice that the amount of mail deliveries has doubled or tripled is of no interest to anyone. The only problem might emerge if the GF has acute appendicitis, but if she is young and healthy, she can live in such an environment for years.
Ironically, huge cities with big transportation system, such as NY or Boston, can be great places to hide, were it not for bureaucratic operations related to finding an apartment to live in. But the sheer amount of people makes your invisible; also, huge student populations with their share of very young, very pretty, girls, makes one of 34 stand out less. As long as she hides the hair.
So, an old BF or slightly older, lonely dude living on a sizable acreage in US Northeast. My bet nr 1.
Edited to add: Jaymie Closs abduction would have remained unsolved were it not for Jaymie herself, but the answer to how it became possible is in two words: “rural Wisconsin”. One doesn’t even need a huge acreage. And Wisconsin is decently populated as opposed to MN, VT or even NH. So, looking at the population density map, I’d add MT or Wyoming to NE states. The Dakotas are OK, too, but the oil boom drew in a lot of single guys, any woman becomes noticeable in such conditions. Didn’t KA grow up in MN or something like it? She probably won’t stay in own state (or a school BF who is unmarried and lives on own land is not impossible, but still, too risky). But what she might know well would be the mentality of the people and how to not get bored living there.
There are some things a woman might still need. Should purchase of some extra meds by some of her old friends or family be the sign?

My guess? She took the gun home to frame CS. He was the last KNOWN person to see MW alive. But we now have reason to believe KA was the last person to see MW alive, and the first to see her dead.

Case law shows that courts, in interpreting 1071, have said "concealing" means taking an actual affirmative physical action to assist the fugitive.
Blows my mind... this is so twisted.

It doesn't make much sense for her to take the gun home and just leave it there. As opposed to dumping it in a river or a dumpster across town. Maybe she intended to take it but just forgot it and then was afraid to go back and get it. Or like Steeltown suggested, perhaps there was some sort of plan to frame CS.
It seems a very disorganized and panicked crime.

She didn’t count on the cameras. Were there no cameras and no witnesses, taking the gun home would have been the right idea.

Yes, but if I didn’t check a couple of websites, how would I know that she is a fugitive?
Did the Marshals make a big case out of it? Is her face in every bus stop, convenience store, TV? Honestly, as long as the information has not made public, people may truly not know.
True, a man might be told by her under a false name that she’s fled an abusive husband and wants to hide away.

And as well, the neighbor claimed that she "must have used a silencer", which I have never believed, because he almost certainly would have heard the gunshots, but didn't. Then "bombshell tonight!", NG, and a couple other sources, reported it as fact that a silencer was used. So, if she took the gun back home, due either to carelessness or the idea of hoping to frame CS, why did she take this supposed silencer off and apparently dispose of it? So many things about this case do not seem to make sense, and the often slipshod reporting on it has not helped. JMO

True. My thoughts were mainly about the possibility of her father, sister, and the Haven concealing her whereabouts.
Average person who meets her on the trail, flea market, grocery? He or she would likely have no idea. I have asked family and friends if they’ve heard of this case. Nada.

Most of my friends don't know anything about this case either. Depending on where you live, unless you are a true-crime follower or watch a lot of news, you very well may not know anything about this
