This weekend is the Unbound Gravel event in Emporia, KS. (UNBOUND Gravel - The World’s premier Gravel event). This is the event that CS won a few years ago in 2019 and both CS and MW competed in last year. (YOne can search participants by year via the link). Wondering if there will be some LE there just in case KA were to show up looking for anyone. A curious thought at least. It is often referred to as the "Superbowl of gravel."
Great place to gather "intelligence" too. I like it. Watch that airport!

Right, you have to ask yourself, what benefit would withholding info be for LE? We can surmise on the reason and.

Thoughts anyone on other reasons..?
I don't know why they're so quiet but it's annoying!
We knew everything about Vicky White from how much cash she had to what she had for breakfast and how she liked to waddle. And good ole sheriff Rick Singleton sang like a bird everyday. I pity the fool who would try to get between the sheriff and a microphone. Maybe we can get him reassigned to this case to give us something to work with.

I think KA's father may be working on getting an attorney for KA and if and when KA calls him next, he will try to get her to contact the attorney directly. I don't think that self-harm is KA's next step, I think she has a strong survival instnct, and I think her father will be able to help her get legal representation and eventually the lawyer will arrange for her to turn herself in.
I hope she doesn’t resist that. The attorney would have to convince her of the probability of a good outcome.

He claims to be in hiding until KA is arrested. Additionally, with sponsors dropping him and the circumstances of Moriah’s death, I wonder if he’d even feel welcome. MOO

I agree, the attorney would have to give her some hope of a lesser charge than murder and lesser sentence than she would be facing with murder.

I don't think he could give her hope about bail, however, since she has been on the run from LE.

Recent case below. I don't think KA printed it in her basement but there are cases of obtaining genuinely printed passports by providing your photo with a false set of ID documents.
From this story, LE clearly has their little ways of catching up to people who go the fake passport route, and this example is a woman they weren’t out there looking for. KA, on the other hand, is a fugitive, and putting her own photo on someone else’s passport would be a very stupid idea, since her photo is all over the news.

NYC is a huge hub, but if I were to escape using a false ID, I would not choose NYC (or DC, for that matter). They are all overwhelmed, but might compensate by decent quality of the border patrol agents.

I, too, made some mental connection between Nepal and yoga mat on her shoulders. Could be Bali, or Thailand. I paid attention to the Botox 4 years ago (at 29?). Thailand is the Mecca of different procedures, cosmetic and more, it, too, needs to be monitored.

Now I remember the phrase by David, CS’s friend, quoted in the Daily Mail. “If she wanted to, she could have retired at 34”. I wonder if one retires and leaves, how does one get rid of the property? Is there any existing connection between the fugitive and someone managing her property/sending money?
More likely than Nepal would be an ashram in India. IMO. Plenty of expats doing their woo. IME woo-people tend to be very much alike, so it would be easy to disappear into that crowd.

Another thing that worries me is that KA is possibly not in contact with her father at all. I know police said they confiscated her 2 phones in Austin. She likely bought a burner phone to go on the run, but maybe she’s afraid to reach out to her father for fear he’ll insist on her coming back?

Since LE is giving no updates, we have no way of knowing what’s going on. I’m very afraid of this case going cold like so many others. I wish there would be an arrest or at least an update.

In this article it says,

“Police have not located Armstrong’s car…”.

I didn’t know that.

Who knows but I would say doubtful. The gravel riding community is pretty tight and I would think that with MW having been a beloved member, it would not but likely that CS would appear. Seems more worrisome that KA might be in a bad enough way to be around if she is still in the US, although that also seems remote. There is so much gun violence happening right now that the thought occurs.

By Saturday morning, May 14, when KA arrived at AIB Airport, it is logical to assume that most of her friends were already aware of the murder of MW, and KA's familiarity with her, even if they did not know of CS's alleged earlier affair with MW. Since KA's Jeep was apparently not left at the Austin airport, it seems likely she either got a friend to drop her off, or she took an Uber/Lift or a taxi. If she took an Uber or Lyft or taxi, there should be a record of it. Even if she used a fake name, she was probably picked up at her home. The other likelihood is that a friend took her, so where could her Jeep be? Is it parked at a friend's house, perhaps concealed in a garage? Would a friend take a risk doing that, if they felt she was innocent? Has a friend come forward and admitted to taking her to the airport? Other than fear of evidence of the murder being uncovered in a forensic examination, i.e., MW's blood or DNA transfer onto the seats, etc, why would she even attempt to hide the Jeep? The fact that it has not yet been found is even one more thing pointing to KA's guilt, JMO

Yes, very much agree. And…If a friend is concealing the vehicle, that’s extremely risky for them for obvious reasons.

Steve P Post above : Really good post here... got to find the Jeep, it is possible key evidence to the murder investigation, I agree with a garage and also keep thinking of the topography of the area, with deep ravines, thick forest/brush, KA might have dumped it in ravine, then rode bike out from there. Fire to destroy evidence is possible as well. MOO

This may also stoke her fears of turning herself in: The knowledge that evidence out there which may be found, would convict her.

I'm wondering if she left the Jeep in a tough neighborhood, keys intact, and rode a bike to the airport. Lots of cyclists have a collection of old bikes (Exhibit A, my shed) and the Jeep could have been parted out by a chop shop.

That’s a possibility. It certainly would be one way to get rid of the evidence. She could have taken an Uber as well.

Probably with one of his many *other* girlfriends
