I’ve seen a photo of gun practice at the range on SM. Not sure I could find it again, and we are not allowed to sleuth sister, but the photo was out there.

That pic was of an AR-15 back in 2012 (for those unfamiliar with guns, like me, that's a rifle not a handgun).

I also would like to know know more about that $450K he supposedly gave to KA and he said she didn’t return to him before leaving.

Did he even have that kind of money? Surely LE has applied for search warrants on bank records.

I think this news was poorly written. It appears that over a period of time (i.e., as of May 19, 2022) CS gave KA approximately $450k of investment capital that only KA had access to, and she did not return the funds before departing May 14, as he requested.

(Huh? Seems CS is a man-child that can't be trusted with $$ so KA was the keeper of the capital that he had no access to).

What's fact and what's fiction?

Is the real reason why the couple did not terminate this toxic relationship last October 2021 because KA spent the capital, and KA was desperate for more time to recover/replace the investment funds?

If true, this would be compounding KA's aggression directed towards MW. In KA's eyes, MW is responsible for all this pressure KA's under!

Or maybe the capital funds given to KA over the years were already expended operating the vintage trailer rehab business, and CS is not aware or does not comprehend that the expenses exceeded the income?

I'm recalling the trailer on eBay that had not met the reserve yet. That had to be a costly rehab and those costs were obviously not yet recovered if the trailer did not sell.

MOO

Now we have some evidence that CS was trying to separate from KA, at least financially / as a business partner. We don’t know if he asked this prior to the murder. Will be interesting to learn when the ask happened, and what precipitated it.

The big question - why in the H E L L did he buy KA a gun?
That is the biggest and best question in this case, why?

While conducting this interview, Detective Ayers, along with members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. executed residential search warrant
which was issued by the Austin Travis County Municipal Court. During the search, officers located two firearms in the residence as described by Strickland. Ofticers also located an iPhone in a burnt orange case plugged in on the counter. Next to the plugged in cell phone on the counter was a purse with another iPhone inside ot it. U.S. passports belonging to Armstrong were also located inside of the purse. Strickland confirmed the phone he had in his possession during the interview belonged to him and that no one else resides at the residence. After the search was completed. Armstrong was told her cell phones were being collected as evidence and she asked how detectives would get into contact with her then, confirming detectives belief the phones located inside belong to Armstrong.

@Emi -- today is July 13.
When OP posted the hearing changed to 7/13 per the ROA, I checked the docket and it also changed the Murder pretrial hearing to 7/13 and left the theft charge slated for 7/20.

The Docket now has both hearings at 7/20 again.

Thanks for checking again @Seattle1 . Now we know why nothing has been reported from the hearing that was supposed to happen today.

Yes, an assault rifle...I feel much better about her now....

How is this evidence of an attempt by CS to separate from KA? "Here's $450K now get out of my life" then anticipate seeing her at home for dinner that night & seeing her last on May 13? I guess that's called keeping your friends close, but you're enemies closer (so to speak)?

And once again we only have words of CS to rely on.... so.... I'm not holding my breath. Unless LE has proof.
JMO

My guess is that CS asked for his invested funds back from KA after the murder, not before. If that is the case, it wouldn't be evidence that he was attempting to separate from KA. JMO.

She shot Mo twice in the head and then once more in the chest while she was down on the floor.

That means she was shot in the face, then fell onto her back, as the chest wound exited her back and broke the underlying tile.

That's a vicious crime. Shooting a perceived rival in the face, twice. Then the last shot while she is dying, on her back.

KA needs to spend the rest of her life in a prison where she misses out on everything that ever gave her happiness or freedom.

I agree. It was a heinous act, and I have a very difficult time trying to minimize it. I hope the prosecution is passionate about getting justice for Moriah and the parents and brother who lost her at 25.
