I wonder why her and her legal team are so hung up on this whole "speedy trial" thing.

My theory is that there is damning evidence either on her phone or on a google account somewhere that they know apple/google will take ages to release the info even with a warrant.

I think it's a tactic. They know it's not realistic but it will give them an opening down the road to say her right to a speedy trial was denied.

Probably just grandstanding, and hoping the prosecution will not have adequate time to fully prepare. If the prosecutor had said they were ready to proceed and the judge set a date for August, I guarantee you the defense would ask for a postponement, saying the prosecution has not given them time to go over discovery, etc...it's just a game. They all know this case won't be tried by this time next year. JMO

Time = Money

I am surprised this district court is running an hour behind schedule. Perhaps attorneys have learned to expect it and plan accordingly? A lawyer could be sanctioned for running late!

Wow those were quite the statements. My interest is quite piqued right about now, and am more curious than ever.

OMG the beginning of that video is cut off but it starts with her attorney saying "Who vandalized the home of Kaitlin Armstrong and Colin Strickland the night of Wilson's death, and why?".

Umm, my guess would be that KA was pissed that CS and MW were together so she trashed the place? Also nice try, Mr. Lawyer, referring to "Wilson's death". First off, say her name (he said KA and CS's full names). Secondly, call it what it was - murder.

Edit: Did either KA or CS call police to report this "vandalization"? Why not? ;)

Their home was vandalized the night of the murder? Is this new?

Cofer put his hands in his pockets & walks away not answering the tough questions.

I realize that in the big scheme of things, it is small potatoes, but did she also plead not guilty to "stiffing" the Botox clinic? Did someone else who looked and signed her name just like her steal her maxed-out credit card and use it to get a makeover, and then walk out, leaving it behind?

Ya know, if KA had been at home instead of out murdering MW, that previously unheard of vandalization probably wouldn't have taken place. Someone probably vandalized the place when they slipped the murder weapon back in the house, in an effort to frame her for the murder. Must not have been too bad though. It seems CS never noticed it. i'm afraid she'll walk if they can't place Armstrong inside the house... and even with Armstrongs DNA inside the house, they can argue it was brought in by Colin... they need something visual that shows her entering the home or at the very least getting out of her car.

Trial by end of October. Wow. that is fast. That will put pressure on the DA's office for sure.

I really took offense to Cofer describing this an "unfortunate incident"

Forget a speedy trial, she can't even get a speedy hearing. LOL

Good Lord, the female attorney is a KA clone. Maybe they will argue mistaken identity. "Your honor, look how many people look like me...gosh, even my attorney does". JMO
I really did think it was her this morning, looking tall and gorgeous with newly dyed red hair.
