Is Cofer suggesting the same person who murdered Mo also ransacked CS/KA's home? How could someone be in two places at once.... i'm confused.

Trial by end of October. Wow. that is fast. That will put pressure on the DA's office for sure.
My last dollar says that isn't gonna happen. Perhaps by the end of Oct, 2023. JMO

Forget a speedy trial, she can't even get a speedy hearing. LOL
Right? This judge is crazy setting a murder trial date for late October when the state says the defense doesn't yet have all the discovery and it's almost August.

Can't wait to hear RC explain her running & nose job in light of her innocence. I wonder if he begged CS not to announce KA is his "ex"?

I really took offense to Cofer describing this an "unfortunate incident"

Same. Even he seemed to recognize it didn't sound great so then he added "terrible". Still not enough, sir.

He can throw all the mud he wants at police but it doesn't change the fact that his client hopped off to another country and tried to change her face. Do innocent people do that?

Gosh I really hope police were able to find Mo's DNA or other evidence in KA's Jeep. Fingers crossed that CarMax's cleaning procedures are not extensive.

Sadly, it wouldn't matter if Mo's DNA or even blood had been found in KA's Jeep. Once it landed at Carmax, the chain of custody was broken, and nothing found in there would be allowed in a court case, because theoretically, any evidence found inside could have been planted there. JMO

exactly - they need to prove by means other than DNA that she was in the apartment.

Full Cofer video in here. He wrote the whole speech ahead of time & just read off of his phone.

An attorney representing the state says that Travis County has over 100 murder cases backlogged due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "I don't know what kind of privilege this particular defendant has to cut in front all of these people who have been waiting for trial," he said.

And certainly that would have been mentioned in the warrant, right? CS was so explicit about what time he arrived home - how did he not notice anything? Maybe Cofer's whole slant is going to be how he feels the local LE messed things up early on and will get the case thrown out, evidence or not. Is that even possible?

OK so now they are suggesting an ex-boyfriend of Mo's had something to do with it? Supposedly APD "ignored" a tip they received about that.

So let me see if I can guess the picture they want to paint. Mo had some disgruntled ex who knew she was going swimming and to grab something to eat with CS so he broke into CS/KA's home, vandalized it and stole the gun, murdered Mo' (without being captured on camera) and then broke back into CS/KA's home to replace the gun and then vanished.

Poor Kaitlin, framed by the APD. You'll notice Cofer did not offer any rebuttal to what's been reported, as in "That was not my client's Jeep'" or "Ms. Armstrong planned that Costa Rica vacation months ago!" Or how about, "She and her sister switched passports all the time. Oversights happen!"

And drove around in KAs car, or borrowed one very similar to it! ;-)

Did KA come back to the house after the murder and trash it during an argument with CS? If she trashed it before the murder, why would she go back to it at all? She could have just ditched the weapon if she had staged a break in while CS and MW were out swimming. Instead the house was “vandalized” and the vandals didn’t steal the guns??

There may be other sources that mention boyfriends of MW. This article mentions one.
By late summer, Moriah had moved to San Francisco to join her boyfriend, Gunnar Shaw, son of Olympic ski racer Tiger Shaw. He had grown up in Norwich, Vt. and graduated from Dartmouth in 2014. “They bought a van and started going to rides and races together. Gunnar and his family saw her potential, encouraged her and really helped her,” says Karen.
