Here: the Academy of Warrior Arts, in Richardson and Fort Worth. From an article in the "Daily Beast," which also had info on the black militant groups he "liked" on SM.

My heart just dropped...have been there many many many times. Especially when I first started training. I hate that a place that is all about teaching people how to live has had their mission turned into something so twisted. These people embraced me when I was so scared, coming off a violent attack by an ex. They literally taught me what I needed to feel safe again.

Me too. I also wonder if on top of being a terrorist, murderer, and assassin who committed a hate crime he's a spree killer too. How did one person get so twisted? He was only 25. He'd only been out of the military for a year.

Maybe some PTSD? I wonder what happened during his service in Afghanistan? Not excusing what he did at all, but some people are coming back from there in really bad psychological shape. I just saw a stat yesterday that 20 veterans per day are committing suicide.

I belong to a few veterans groups and I am impatiently waiting for someone to say something but it's probably a good thing they don't. Who knows what the result would be right now. I imagine LE wants to talk to them too.

For some reason I assumed whatever happened to him happened after he was discharged.

But I am speaking about the leaders of BLM, like Tef Poe and DeRay, and Nessa, from Ferguson. Not just random people pretending to be a part of the movement These are people who appear on CNN as spokesmen for the movement.

But..who is going to stop them from proclaiming themselves as such? I've studied US social movements, including those of the 1960's, and it is a verifiable, objective fact that most of the influentual groups were infiltrated by federal LE (FBI, most notably), sometimes with the deliberate goal of turning followers against leaders.

It's a tactical decision to not have leaders per se, and entirely their perogative not to.

All cops aren't bad and racist. Some cops are racist and too ready to use force. Most cops are doing a very difficult, dangerous, and often thankless job.

All BLM protestors aren't bad and anti-cop. Some BLM protestors hate cops and see them/fear them as the enemy. Most BLM protestors are objecting to the actions of a small minority of cops who use unnecessary and sometimes lethal force against blacks, because they are racist, subtly or more full blown.

The majority of cops pay a steep price for the actions of a few of their own. The legitimate complaints of the majority of BLM protestors are tainted by the actions of a small minority who piggyback off BLM to express their rage.

Anyone can use anything as a justification for killing, but a killer's justification doesn't reveal any truth other than the fact of their own twisted hate, and their disregard for any life other than their own.

I wish something good will come out of this horrific tragedy, but my sad guess is that it will only intensify existing polarizations of every kind.

I watched the Ferguson I've streams from day one. These were the leaders of the movement. These were the people on the front lines, leading the chants, sending out the tweets about where to meet, setting up the meeting places, organizing the food and water drops...

Reportedly, he was a carpenter-masonry expert...............so probably no combat. And so far, no red flags from his service record.(I'm watching Shep Smith live TV) Has anyone heard if he was currently employed? JMO

The bomb thing is interesting. This is not the first time LE has used a bomb. Almost wiped out a whole block that time. Not sure I trust them with this technology either.

We don't know enough about the killer yet, but this could be a factor. It doesn't excuse anything, but may help explain some things.

Imho this thread should focus on the DPD, the officers who were shot at and murdered, and the man who assassinated them. Not the time to criticize the police nor the activists. But I guess this particular line in the thread shows where people's hearts are.

You're right, I watched those too. That's when I saw that CNN was not always the most honest broker when it came to news.
