The mother of a missing 6-year-old North Texas boy has been indicted in connection with her son's suspected death after she was recently
arrested and returned to the U.S., records show.

A grand jury in a Sept. 8 indictment allege Rodriguez-Singh "did intentionally or knowingly cause the death of Noel Rodriguez...by manner and means unknown to the grand jury" on or around Oct. 25, 2022, court records show.
The grand jury also allege Rodriguez-Singh withheld water, food and medical care from Noel, left him "unsupervised at an unknown location," and "did not have an intent to return for the child," according to the indictment.
Rodriguez-Singh remains in the Tarrant County Jail, held on a $10 million bond, jail records show.

returned to Tarrant County from India last month, has been indicted on a slew of new charges.

She was initially charged with capital murder of a person under the age of 10. On Monday, she was indicted on two counts of injury to a child, one count of abandoning or endangering a child without intent to return and one count of abandoning or endangering a child with imminent danger of bodily injury.
All of the new charges are felonies. Rodriguez-Singh has also been federally charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
