A huge country and no motivation or money to do so. If the family doesn't have a cell phone, or use their ID to rent or work it'll be a lot harder.

I'm not surprised that the fugitive mother and Step-father haven't been located yet. I never thought that it would be easy to locate them in a country of almost a billion and a half people.

They had a two day head start on LE. Authorities will know at which airport they landed in India, but where did they go from there? Did they stay in the general area of the airport, or did they travel to a different region of the country? The step-father is from India and probably has family there, but it would be too risky for them to be with his family members. Hopefully they will be found eventually, but finding them won't be as easy as some of you seem to assume that it is.
