Just adding some extra newspaper clippings from the time. One important one though I have not found - where Odessa couple whose daughter was missing few month prior came to the morgue and view her body in person, claimed Jane Doe is "identical" and spitting image of their missing daughter.

However dental expert disagreed.

If anyone finds that article, please feel free to add it here.

I was reading a Facebook post about a completely unrelated case today and happened upon a comment made a woman talking about a sister who disappeared from Wyoming in 1963. Lynn Dianne Olson. I looked her up thinking she’d be on one of the sites and I’d just not heard of her, but I only found a brief post about her on the website we aren’t to reference here.

I searched through newspapers and kind of got the chills when I saw her photo. She’s described as being 16 years old, 5 ft 5 inches tall, 130 lbs, brown hair and eyes, and having a light complexion. I’d like to find a better, colored photo of her but she seems to fit the description and bears a resemblance....

There are some follow up articles that I won’t flood the thread with, but it seems there’s a possibility she left willingly.

Good find!
No luck finding more photos of her, but if she looks anything like the other women in her family, she definitely fits Doe’s description! Her parents and several siblings have since died, but Lynn has one biological sister still alive and looking for her.

Wow...interesting find @MadMcGoo. Am I right she is not in any MP database? Wonder why not. Maybe one of our members can fix that and add her to Namus. @Roselvr do you have time?

You are correct! She’s not in any database. I feel she should be though because after reading about her, I think there’s just as good a chance she left of her own accord as there is of her getting lost out there. She could be one of our Does from anywhere in that case. Obviously she’s still missing or her family never heard from again. I may go ahead and make her a thread here.

I’d be happy to point someone towards the sister’s post if need be! TIA

''In 1966, a young woman drowned in Ropers Motel pool in Pecos, Texas and more than 50 years later she remains unidentified. Othram is teaming up with the Pecos Police Department and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to use advanced DNA testing to identify the woman, or at least identify a family member that might know of this woman’s identity.''

They have a photo of her remains there...

Pecos is near the US/Mexican border. There probably haven't been any hits on her identification because she is a Mexican citizen. Might be helpful to run her recon image through Mexican websites for the missing and exploited.

Without sounding the obvious here...

The only time I know of someone to scream like that while in a body of water is when someone else is pulling you under against your will, so that you cannot remain above water nor afloat.

Something tells me another person was involved in her drowning.

That's what I thought with her suspicious companion but I guess she could've been screaming for help as she was drowning?

Although the sources/stories differ somewhat she was reportedly alone in the pool. Maybe she misjudged the depth of the pool and couldn't swim, got cramps, had a panic attack for some reason etc. Drowning would be enough reason to scream IMO.

rbbm. Why would the female wear shorts and a blouse to swim?
Pecos police trying to ID woman who drowned in motel pool in 1966
''The woman is described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall and about 120 pounds. She was wearing a pair of dark shorts and a flowered blouse.

In the mid-1960s, Pecos was well traveled by visitors on Interstate 20 and US Highway 285, two major roadways that run through the center of town, the release said. Ropers Motel still exists, but it is much different than it was 50 years ago.''

If I remember correctly, she was wearing the swimsuit while swimming and the other clothing was found in the hotel room afterwards and witnesses reported seeing her in that clothing prior to the incident.
