Has any one heard how the shooter entered the school? Did he only shoot up the art class? And how was he finally taken down? Since it was reported that he had a journal that said he intended to kill as many as he could and then commit suicide, its remarkable that he was taken alive. This is just speculation, but I would guess that the reason he had the .38 revolver was to kill himself. Maybe he inadvertently used all his shots from the revolver in the classroom.

I believe in presser it was stated he did intend to commit suicide but when it came to it "he couldn't". Not sure if couldn't because lacking the ammunition or got to scared.
I'm not sure on the other questions you have.

i have not in most bought this infamy stuff

most are mentally ill and the last thing they are thinking about is being famous

they are dealing with suicidal or homicidal stuff

few are thinking about the future they are acting out rage or dying

the notion that someone who wants to be dead can not believe they will know how much media coverage they got after they are dead

like what cable news is present in the coffin that just has never made sense moo

it more primal imo than that i am done i want to hurt all the people that wounded me

or i want to be gone

i really don't believe a lot of them believe that they can watch the news after being dead

that is imo an excuse for the folks that are still alive

unless actively psychotic most know that they will not know the intensity of the coverage they got after their heart quit beating

kinda a strange conclusion moo

moo

Haven't heard anything regarding the second person other than that person being in custody.

I think you could seek infamy and also be mentally ill. Columbine Massacre Harris sought infamy.
Go out in a blaze of glory take out as many as possible.

The Art Class room had it's own door to the outside. May have been unlocked?

I wonder about this too? Did some legislation change about this because I can recall a long time ago that our parents were always worried about getting sued or thrown in jail for what us kids did.

I remember my parents threatening me about that and it honestly did help me stay in line because my parents kept reminding me that they would have to pay for my actions.

What happened to that?

Not sure, I notice there's ZERO consequences anymore.

Bullying never has a good outcome.
But why target Art Class and students if jocks bullied him?

He was a jock himself, he played football.

I found a pretty good live news link. I think this is a local Houston news channel and they have had pretty good coverage. Not sure if they will stay with the story but I think they will because their 5 oclock news is starting soon. Commercials right now.

The saddest thing if this is true that an adult would bully a child.

I have dealt with this first hand this school year in middle school.

I think there is so many different issues and there are so many changes needed.

This article gives a pretty good summary of what we know so far:

Abbott said authorities were speaking to two additional people of interest about the incident.

"One is a person who was at the scene," Abbott said. "We cannot definitively say whether or not that this is a person that may have had some level of involvement in the crime. There was just some suspicious reactions from this particular person and we want to make sure this person is adequately investigated. Separate from that, there is another person where we have certain information (and) we want to make sure that this other person is going to be fully interviewed to see if there is information to be gleaned."

yes, I know the article says other players bullied him. So why go to the Art Classroom? Why not go to the gym or football field?

I've witnessed it our HS Football Coach encouraged others to bully students.

Because I mentioned him before:
John Barnes was the police officer critically injuried on the scene. He was shot with the shotgun and wounded in both arms (I would imagine chest too, IMO).

“For 23 years, John Barnes worked for the Houston Police Department, patrolling the streets of city’s southwest side, and later hunting rapists and pedophiles.

But his most dangerous day came four months into his new job as a school police officer in Santa Fe, when gunman opened fire in the town’s high school, killing ten and critically injuring Barnes.”

Bigger question, if bullying was the motive, why deal with it by killing people :(
I understand what your saying though.
