GUILTY TX - Riley 'Baby Grace' Sawyers, 2, brutally murdered, Spring, 24 July 2007

I would bet that this baby is Riley. I believe that there is another thread about Baby Grace in the Missing forum.

MagicRose-if you read the local Houston and Galveston links, the detectives have already notified Riley's family in Ohio that the remains are hers. Perhaps they have a confession, or what they found in the house on Friday was very compelling...who knows. They held the story until yesterday so they could fly to Ohio and notify Riley's father in person. Maybe they got a match quicker than the 2-3 weeks...that is my guess. In any case there is a press conference scheduled for today sometime.

Sorry for the double post-I just thought I would mention that I cannot find Royce Zeigler II on the reunion.com website any longer and he is no longer listed as a relative under his father's information...spooky!!

Oh my gosh, I am so sad for little Riley. How horrible for her to be taken from people who loved and cared for her only to meet an ending like so. May you rest in peace precious baby girl.

I wonder if the mother and her new husband were so into playing "World of Warcraft" that little Riley was just an interruption to them. There was another video game couple not to long ago who severely neglected their children because of this.

God Bless you Baby Riley.

I'm so emotional over this. :( I heard about the arrests and possible identification on the radio this morning and just cried about it on my way to work. :(

I was pretty sure last week when the story broke about the little girl missing from Spring that she and Baby Grace were one in the same. :( The so called "mother's" story was ludicrous.

Here is an article about the arrests.

Investigators on Sunday tentatively identified Baby Grace as Riley Ann Sawyers. A positive identification is pending DNA analysis, according to a statement from Galveston County Sheriff's spokesman Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo.

Have you guys gone to the game website? The attraction to this stuff blows my mind...it reminds me of a fancy Dungeons and Dragons. GROW UP, please...

Hope I don't sound like a weirdo, but I hope Riley will be brought back to Mentor to be buried... Tragically she isn't alive anymore, but I still feel she should be given back to her father, not be buried somewhere she didn't know anyone or anything.... Does anyone know how that sort of thing works?

Nothing weird about that at all Janet. I hope this happens as well.

Anyone find any information on Royce Zeigler and/or confirmed his age? I have found his parents and sisters, all of them living not too far from me. His parents live in a rather nice subdivision where my ex-husband actually grew up there, with homes valued anywhere from maybe $300K-$1M. There are houses from new to old in that subdivision/area. The only male child I am finding for the parents is Hiram Royce Zeigler, age 22, so I'm a little confused as to the age and name being reported and wondering if he just goes by Royce II. He likely went to Klein High School. I'll try to find out more.

Thanks! I guess I missed that!

I am being told that the mother here arrested, is currently pregnant. Is that true?

I cannot believe this, but had a terrible suspicion is involved a mother with a loser boyfriend. Shame on her. What a disgrace.

That was quite a press conference-not a lot of questions answered about the perps, but clearly an emotional journey for the investigators. They reunited 80+ "missing children" with family during the process and they still have 22 unaccounted for. The investigators are going to list them on the baby grace website to encourage the public to continue the search for the other children...great idea.

I still think the age of Royce is in question-Dad is 61 and you have to figure Royce Clyde Zeigler II was the first born. The detective did not give a birthdate for him.

OK-am I the only one who noticed how beautiful the lead detective's eyes are? (Is it ok to be a little shallow??) :blushing:

After seeing the press conference, I just wanted to express my respect for the people who worked day and night to bring Riley Ann Sawyers back home to the people who love her.

My heart and prayers go out to the Sawyers family. I wish there was more I could do to ease their pain. Words are so empty at a time like this.

I keep thinking about the little light up shoes with purple flowers...the picture of Riley blowing bubbles. She had so much life ahead of her. It's an outrage that all of it was taken away from her before she even had a chance.

Riley Ann Sawyers,"our little girl," you will not be forgotten.

I'm glad there was some silver lining in this for 80 families. At least they know their children are alive, and hopefully safe now.

In his picture on the local news, he appears to be mid-twenties.
