'I had Bland exit the vehicle to further conduct a safe traffic investigation.'

No so - Trooper Encinia had Bland exit the vehicle when she questioned why she had to follow his request to put her cigarette out while sitting in her car on a public road. I'm very curious as to why she had to exit the vehicle for questioning that request.

Imo, Encinia is using a fancy phrase to cover/skirt by/avoid acknowledging his passive-aggressive behavior towards Ms Bland. Regardless of why Ms Bland was found deceased after 3 days in jail over this incident, Encinia should be removed from any role dealing with the public - and all of his colleagues everywhere that behave in the same manner. This type of behavior is causing the public to fight with each other now as to whether it is acceptable or not. A terrible situation for any free country.

Here it is 90 days after the first seizure and 6 months after the second.
(For people who have seizures for idiopathic reasons and don't have an Epilepsy diagnosis.)
I don't know how that varies in other states including Texas, or with someone who has a diagnosis of Epilepsy.

Very strange what happened to the le dashcam --- wouldn't there be glitches in the audio as well as the video ? I understand if it was uploaded and not all of it loaded correctly ; it just seemed there'd be audio malfunctions as well.
Maybe some sleuthers here can explain how this works ?

And I wonder if Ms. Bland tried to beat up a cop after she was brought into the police station ? That would define the "...assaulting a public servant ..." part of this.

Did this "..assault on a public servant.." bit happen after she was brought into the jail.police station ?
If so, the public deserves to see the video.
Anytime there's a coverup, people start asking questions.

Not sure what to think until more evidence is released.
Isn't there a Freedom of Information Act program to uncover what happened ?

One would think if that part (trying to beat up the cop at the scene) was on the responding officer's dashcam , he sure as H3LL wouldn't want it deleted or messed with -- that is his defense we're talking about !

The phone calls.
I just watched CNN and the officer said they let her use their office phone 3 times to try to accommodate her. He implied she was having trouble with her phone calls. I'm sure they took her cell phone away. Most ppl ( myself included) don't know ph numbers by heart anymore. Contact list, voice command...We have our life line in that cell phone.

The $500 bail.
Some articles say she spoke to a bonds man...some articles say her family was trying to get the bond together..perhaps this was depressing her ..needing bond. Far from family & friends. New job. Not getting out possibly felt like an eternity. All of it.
So very sad.

Absolutely disagree. LEO's normally have policies that when transporting prisoners of the opposite sex, they call it in...in fact, every agency I have worked with, actually have us call it in with beginning and ending mileage. 100% fact.

OK, but why her race? Is that part of policy too? Because if it is, there is no reason for it, except to discriminate. Prisoners should be treated the same regardless of their race. So there should be no reason for officers to even discuss it.
