I would GLADLY go through nicotine withdrawal and support a ban on cigarettes if that ban was in conjunction with a ban on firearms. Just think how "promoting the general welfare" THAT would be!!! I probably would have grudgingly put out the cigarette in Sandra's case, but I would also tell the officer that I will exit my car when he gets a female officer on scene. JMO

No thanks.

That's exactly what I think. That she had a head wound and died or a seizure and died and then they panicked.

If she had had a seizure and died then they would have had no reason to panic. why fake a hanging if someone dies from a medical issue?

Not sure how you would come to that conclusion, but even so, if he doubted her, why did he yell "GOOD!" (which seems a rather sadistic thing to say, but he's certainly not the only sadistic police officer) rather than yelling "NO YOU DON'T!"?

Sadistic? That's a pejorative thrown around a lot by the left wing loons. As a professor I'm sure you know the definition of the word. Care to enlighten us as to how many LEO's are sadistic?

And what kind of person throws around the term "left wing loons" ? lol

I think the arresting officer stopped her for failing to signal. He may or may not have known whether he was going to give her a citation. After the escalation caused by him or her or both, her refusal to get out resulted in a scuffle & the charge of assaulting a police officer.

I think he also noticed her Illinois plates. Lots of gun and drug running between Chicago and Texas. He may have wanted to have a quick look see. The traffic infraction gave him that opportunity. There is nothing wrong with that. Traffic stops are often an excuse to see if the driver has weapons or illegal drugs or contraband or has an outstanding warrant. A lot of bad guys get taken off the streets by a simple traffic stop. If she had just been civil towards him and tried not to be so hostile, she would have been on her way in minutes/ JMO He beagn the traffic stop by being polite and professional. She is the one who started the acrimony, imo. He was at fault for letting it escalate and he should be punished for that. Maybe suspension or demotion or even termination, IDK. But there was no reason for her to be so rude and hostile either, imo.

There is no doubt in my mind that there is a cover up. Edited video, moving her off camera, telling a witness to stop filming, releasing an incomplete autopsy report, the list goes on, and on. How much more evidence of cover up do you need?

Haha. More evidence than you just provided. So you still believe she was murdered?

Oh I don't know. Maybe The type that don't believe 9/11 was faked like some do.

Agreed. I think it is highly possible they purposefully denied her access to contact family and they placed her alone into a "suicide cell". JMO

She took the bait at the traffic stop. And she took the bait laid out for her in the jailhouse. JMO

So in your opinion the conspiracy was LE hoping she would off herself ?

Here I am getting dragged into the traffic stop talk (by my own volition, I know)

I think hostile is a greatly exaggerated word to describe Ms. Blands behaviour.

It was this former officer who began the escalation.
He was being a sarcastic D-head. He got exactly what he was looking for. No doubt in my mind. JMO

I might consider answering your question if you answer the question below that was posed to you by a mod.

It needs to be asked just like the questions the social justice warriors demand answers to. Some may not want it asked but that doesn't make it any less important.

Sure some do. So do some of the social justice warriors. That's why it's important to wait on full disclosure and not act hysterical when these type of things occur.

Regarding the bolded, please define.

Thanks.

If you think that 'sadistic' is a word owned by 'left wing loons' (and I sort of doubt that, given the long history of the word), I wonder if you'd agree that 'social justice warriors' is an expression created and used by 'right wing nutjobs'?

So this is slightly off topic and I've spent a couple of days deciding whether to post it or not, but feel compelled to.

My primary abuser when I was a child would wait until I was upset about something (usually being unfairly blamed for something), then try to have a cheerful conversation with me when I was not just irritated but trying hard not to cry and when I didn't respond the way she wanted me to, she would look at my father and say, "what's wrong with her NOW?" And then she'd needle me until I had an outburst and then I would get beaten for crying and/or talking back.

This officer reminds me so much of her that I've had trouble sleeping this week.

Moo and all that.

Glad to see that you are being biased and objective. Seriously, I feel awful for you because I was abused as a child too. Years of sexual abuse by an uncle. But I think it is kind of unfair to project that on to a police officer during a traffic stop. As the parent of an officer, I cannot begin to explain to you how much stress they are experiencing these days working with the public.

This officer asked her politely if she wouldn't mind putting out her lit ciggie and she rudely refused. I think SHE was the one being rude and hostile at the start, not him.

There is just way too much odd behaviour to believe the "official" story being reported. So, yes I think that is certainly possible. JMO

Some people are tripping over themselves in an attempt to explain a conspiracy by law enforcement in Sandra's death.

I haven't figured out a motive let alone see any facts that suggest that LE killed Sandra while in their custody. JMO.

Because she wasn't getting medicine if needed?
And they knew her background of being an activist for justice. They knew there would be hell to pay if she died of anything but at her own hand.
Just throwing that out there as I'm not sure what to think about the circumstances of her death.

Why can't we all just get along? LOL

Some people see things differently than others. So what. Learn from each other. I can honestly say I have learned a lot from folks on here that I have disagreed with over the past couple years.

HAHA. I will gladly have a debate with you on that topic if you wish. That's an easy one to prove to anyone willing to wake up and pay attention.

How would the jailer's know that depriving Sandra her epilepsy medicine would cause her to die quickly enough? I'm sure she would have either bailed out or would have been released within a matter of days.

Very often people who have been abused learn to recognize abusers. It doesn't take much. One of the plays in their playbook is to set up their victims to fail so they can abuse/punish them. I saw a lot of that in what this officer did as well.
