Found Deceased TX - Savanah Soto, 18, Leon Valley, 22 December 2023 #2 *Arrests*

All MOO. Yes, his "rights", after all, like he reminds the interviewer several times. They almost destroyed his kidneys once. It's an outrage. (I'm being sarcastic here.)
He does something illegal, but then expects to get a light sentence because he has to make a living. After all, he has to make a livelihood - don't give him a long sentence.
MOO, he sure knows the ins and outs of demanding special treatment, if you ask me.

^^^ Here's what I had to say back in the middle of Feb., and apparently I had his number then, before this latest. It's a bummer for him to be in jail, again. He had health issues last time he was in, and now this time, but... MOO, I don't know why he chose to do what he did because it was wrong what his son did, and wrong that he tried to help cover it up.

hopefully the time it is taking is them making sure they dot all the i's and cross all the t's , make it a solid case.

According to court records, a trial date for Christopher was scheduled back in May, but I can't find what date that is.

The next hearings are scheduled for 10/14/2024 for evidence exchange.

Sure is taking a long time to move through the system.

I thought for sure he would try to cut a plea deal by now?

Judge Jennifer Peña ordered they return for a hearing in April to have it all sorted out by then.

Christopher Preciado could face the death penalty, but as of yet, the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office has not announced a decision on the case.

Ramon Preciado is charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Romanos is accused of those same crimes, as well as tampering with evidence with intent to impair a human corpse.

A trial date for Chris Preciado, charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, has not been set

Christopher Preciado remains behind bars on bonds totaling $2 million, as does Romanos, whose bonds total $600,000. Her attorney filed another motion Friday to reduce her bonds, after a judge denied their previous request in December.

Court records list a trial date of March 31, 2025, for all three, but that could be delayed.

Preciado, accused of helping his son Christopher Preciado, hide the bodies of Savanah Soto, 18, and Matthew Guerra, 22, met his $350,000 bond on Thursday, according to Bexar County court records.

Raviana Covarrubias, cousin of Savanah Soto, places candles and flowers around a growing memorial honoring Soto and her unborn child Fabian during a vigil at Kenwood Park on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Soto and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, 22, were found dead inside a car at an apartment complex on the Northwest Side on Dec. 26, 2023

Records show that Ramon Preciado posted a bond for both the tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse and the abuse of a corpse charge. The total amount was $450,000, and his trial date is set for March 31, 2025, according to documents.

Since his release, locals and those following the case have shared their opinions on the latest development. Several vocalized their concerns in a Facebook group dedicated to the soon-to-be mother's murder

Oi vey. That was hard to read (the FB page).

For starters, he wasn’t convicted… so they really believe a convict paid bond and was released?? Then they are calling him a murderer… if my memory serves me correctly, his son is the murderer, but I digress.

I'm not on FB and can't follow the case there.

Did RP post bond for himself and also his wife? I suppose he would have had to sell his business and house.

@MeltGibsont

That is the 53 year old father that helped his 19 year old son move and dispose of the bodies after the 19 year old had killed them.

The father has since lost about 100 lbs. Last pic I believe is from his perp walk when first arrested over a year ago.

“I fully acknowledge that the decision not to seek the death penalty will be difficult for the families of Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra,” Gonzales said in a written statement. “I understand that no decision in this matter can be without its pain or consequences. Every case is different, and the goal is always to make a decision that is measured, thoughtful, and to the best of my ability, is fair, just, and in line with the values of our community.”
