Mayer is well known in the San Antonio youth baseball community. He’s a coach for the South Texas Sliders, a premier select youth baseball team out of San Antonio’s McAllister Park. Loved ones describe Scott as a religious man, married with 3 daughters.

A search party (friends and family) has been created to look for Scott and his missing vehicle. However, they don’t know where to focus their search efforts.

Family members say Jeff was last seen traveling in a 2010 blue/grey Ford Escape, Texas license plate BB26128.

So those 2 court cases seem to be him. I wonder if the delinquent taxes one is too.... according to a local site, the road he lives on is bison canyon. I will look at that other court case when I get home and see if it has the address for the delinquent taxes property.

Actually his family says he was home that day and a neighbors surveillance camera caught the car leaving his neighborhood around 1123 am. I have read that he was an I.T. guy for the schools so he had more flexibility with his schedule. Also his family says he was last known to be home around 1120am and the last text sent to his wife was around 2:30 pm. Nothing else was heard from him, at least by his family.

Just posted on the find Scott mayer facebook page.

Just posted!! We will be coordinating a search party Wednesday, May 9, at noon. We will meet at the Wal-Mart at 46 and 281 in the north end of the parking lot across from the Wal-Mart gas station. If you can, please wear orange so we all know we're together. We will also try to get vests for everyone, but if you have your own, please bring it.

Hm... was he working from home? Sick? Going in later? Curious.

Yeah I wonder too. From looking around on the facebook page his family started, the family is organizing the search tomorrow. <modsnip>

I think the key to his disappearance is whatever he said in his last text. This seems to be vital information.

https://www.ksat.com/news/theres-really-not-any-clues-family-of-missing-neisd-employee-says1

His last text was received after 2 p.m.

Repeated attempts to call or text Mayer since then have been fruitless, family said.

"If he asks you to do something, he’s the guy that’s going to be doing it first,” said Billy Centeno, a fellow baseball coach and longtime friend of Scott Mayer.

[...]

"It is so unbelievably out of character,” said Scott’s brother Jeff Mayer. “We all cannot even imagine."

Loved ones describe Scott as a religious man, married with 3 daughters.

"It has been horrible,” said Jeff Mayer. “We were trying to keep it away from the girls for a little bit, but they're too smart.”

[...]

Family members and friends expressed their confusion regarding Scott’s disappearance.

"He has a way of doing things, and it's always the exact same,” said Centeno. “When you throw in this kind of scenario to it, it's confusing. It's not real."

Centeno tells us a search party has been created to look for Scott and his missing vehicle. However, they don’t know where to focus their search efforts.

"The whole family, especially Missy and your girls, need you and want you back,” said Jeff Mayer.

Scott Mayer was last seen on Wednesday evening, May 2nd around the TPC Parkway area on the north side, near Highway 281. The 47-year-old man was driving a 2010 blue-grey Ford Escape.

The family said there are two distinct things to look for on the SUV: A Johnson High School Swimming Macey sticker is on the back windshield, as well as a UT logo near the license plate.

Billy Centeno is hurting right now, because one of his role models is missing.

"Everybody is questioning, what, why, or how," he said. "People at first couldn't believe it. It was so out of character."

Mayer was off of work on May 2nd, when he last spoke to his wife earlier that afternoon. The 47-year-old had baseball practice that Wednesday evening, but never showed up. Scott's brother, Jeff, said his disappearance just doesn't make sense.

"He's at three places in life," Jeff said. "He's working at the two schools he is responsible for. He's home, or he's on these fields."

Over the weekend, baseball players huddled together to pray for the family. They're part of a top league Mayer started several years ago.

"We miss and we love you," Centeno said. "We need you. Now is the time that we need our general. We need our guy who steers the ship."

[...]

"Scott, there are so many people that love you, that support you, and whatever is going on we are here to help you," Jeff said.

It sure would be a lot easier for people to know where to search if they would give a little bit more info. I know law enforcement has their reasons for keeping things tight lipped. I agree with the fact that his last text may be very telling. Also all the confusion about last location, last contact, last time he was seen, makes things even more complicated.

Wow, that clears up quite a few things!! Thank you. More questions now of course...I believe but am not sure that his practices were usually at McAllister park, but I could be wrong about that. If it was there, why was there a ping out near 281/46 at around 6:58 pm. He didn't show up to practice, hmm...

This just sounds so much like Timothy Cunningham to me. I finally watched the video interview with the brother. He talks about how the family is so "scared" and how "this is so out of character" for Scott. He also says the text to the wife just said, "Hey..." and then he didn't say anything more in the interview. It really gives me the impression that there is something really important in that text.

He also mentions "the trials and tribulations of life", and talks about how Scott is a "focused and very religious man".

At this point, I'm leaning towards voluntary disappearance with probable suicide. Of course, there is the possibility of an accident, but since the family won't reveal the contents of the last text to Scott's wife, I think that's where the biggest clue lies.

I too have been leaning towards the possible suicide scenario. Not sure how true it is about the location of the ping, if so, the state park is a couple of miles from that area. Surely they have checked that area, L.E.
