TX - Shots fired, injuries reported at ICE facility in Dallas - Sept 24, 2025

  • #181
  • The perp downloaded a document titled "Dallas County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management" containing a list of DHS facilities.
  • He conducted multiple searches of ballistics and the "Charlie Kirk Shot Video" between 9/23-9/24.
-Between 8/19-8/24, he searched apps that tracked the presence of ICE agents.
  • One of the handwritten notes recovered read, "Hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror, to think, 'is there a sniper with AP rounds on that roof?"
  • Further accumulated evidence to this point indicates a high degree of pre-attack planning.

So... you're speculating the unspent rounds were placed there by someone other than the shooter & the FBI have engaged in some sort of conspiracy?
One might also reasonably conclude the shooter left that message to seed doubt about their true intentions. We simply don’t know.

I tend to live by Occam’s Razor, though.

Thanks for the link and this information. ^^^

J. Jahn was pretty clear in his motive.
Despicable.
An innocent human being was murdered and two others are fighting for their lives with serious injuries.
None of them deserved that.
Imo.

So much planning and energy spent on destruction. Imagine if he put that effort into doing something to further his career, help his community, positively contribute to causes he cares about, apppreciate life instead of destroying it.

Such a waste on many levels.

And, there are likely others out there in our country inspired by what he and other recent murderers have done. That is the scariest part.

And law enforcement officers continue to be threatened for their lives.

Assuming the shooter left that. Which I question.

Most of us that are indeed anti ICE, would not use that term. We say F ICE.

That image of the unspent rounds (do they match the weapon used?) feels as authentic as that text thread with Tyler Robinson.
<modsnip: not debating the merits of ice>

In his rage and hate, J. Jahn not only took his own life, but ended the life of a person he probably didn't even know & who had done nothing to him, as well as injuring others.
Selfish of him.
Whether mentally unsound or an injustice collector, there were other paths in life he could have taken.

If he didn't like the laws, he could have studied, become a judge or lawyer, and even gone into politics to effect a change.
Instead he chose violence, destroying not only his own life, but his own families' lives; the loved ones of the deceased, and also of the injured.
Omo.

That photo shows a "stripper clip" which is a kind of speed-loader. I can't tell what kind of rifle the shooter used from the gruesome photos I've seen. It looks like a Springfield 1903, but the only black ones I've seen are resin replicas used for drills, or air-rifles.

I'm not being conspiracy-minded here! Just displaying my ignorance – I haven't seen one quite like that.

Anyway, here's how you would load and fire an M1903 with a stripper clip.

Emphasis mine.
Thanks for the interesting video clip !
I saw the death photo as well and it looked like an older model rifle ?
Imo.
Here's a link with a possible explanation :

“If the picture circulating of the expired terr0rist is legit (not posting it). It looks like the weapon was a Kar 98 in 8mm Mauser w/ no scope. Could explain why he was hitting detainees,”

Also from the article -

[the shooter] wrote a note saying he hoped to give immigration enforcement agents "real terror" as he plotted the attack.

The media was not the reason for the comment that said it was confusing that DSH asked for prayers for the victims, which they interpreted to include LE, as no ICE agents were shot.
It's not relevent who the target was, but I would argue it is clearly LE. Anyone in a vehicle which is shot up and several passengers are shot, is a victim. Same of any occupant of the office that had bullet holes in the window.
The shooter couldn't see into the vehicle or possibly have known if anyone but LE was in it.
Anyone in the vehicle will be affected for the rest of their lives, I can't imagine the nightmares ahead for all of them and their families. They don't need to prove or earn a label of victim.
Thank you for this ^^^^^

I hope this gives anyone with doubt who the victims are will find this compelling evidence as his motive.

Couple of things: FBI doesn’t usually give tips to news media about evidence until they’ve investigated it. Re the handwritten notes allegedly found on the roof- they need to run it through the lab to test for DNA, source, etc. Further evidence? What further evidence?

There’s so much wrong with the way the FBI and other Feds are handling this investigation. It’s not their usual level of professionalism and protocol and that’s alarming and cause for concern. The same thing happened after the Charlie Kirk murder. The same also happened with the investigation of the airliner/helicopter collision over National Airport lots of unsubstantiated speculation and “facts” slanted to premature conclusions. This is how people lose faith in the integrity of their law enforcement and criminal justice institutions. This is how we lose democracy.

Not following legal, standard investigation procedures is a problem. I think we can all agree on that.

I am aware that I will likely never understand the thought process that murderers go through when deciding and carrying out what to do. This is just so weird to me, and not even (necessarily) a conspiracy theory type way.

What has been put out in the media so far strictly seems to point to him being anti-ICE so I can’t state as fact that he wasn’t a conservative, but I think that’s a reasonable inference. So in doing this, did he really think he was furthering the “liberal agenda”? Did he not see that the shooting of Charlie Kirk actually did the opposite of that? I mean, he allegedly searched CK on the internet the day before and the day of carrying out this shooting, for goodness sakes. If he was so anti-ICE, why did he provide fuel to the fire to gather even more support for the thing he was against? I just can’t wrap my mind around someone being so blatant about taking an action in protest of something, and not knowing it would have the opposite effect of what he was trying to accomplish.
All I can say is that mentally ill people often think they are doing the ‘right thing’, even if they clearly are not. The former police officer Christopher Dorner comes to mind. He faced bullying by his department when he reported racism. But while he could have gone to the news, started a nonprofit, or any other manner of reasonable ways to ‘expose’ the LAPD or make positive changes, he decided to shoot and kill a Riverside police officer, and two citizens. Nonsensical.

MOO

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has ordered an increase in security outside immigration detention centers across the nation after a fatal shooting at a facility in Texas.

"In light of the horrific shooting that was motivated by hatred for ICE and the other unprecedented acts of violence against ICE law enforcement, including bomb threats, cars being used as weapons, rocks and Molotov cocktails thrown at officers, and doxing online of officers' families, DHS will immediately begin increasing security at ICE facilities across the country," Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), told Newsweek.

If we’re looking at these things through a political lens, maybe we have to accept that some of these people are truly non-partisan, not right or left. An increasing number of young adults see themselves as independent, not tied to the opinions of any political view or group.

It is possible he thought he was doing those things. As another member noted, the individual that climbs on a roof to shoot people is not thinking logically.

The same could be said about all shooters. Regardless of their ideology.
