Killing someone by hand requires a lot of adrenaline. A lot of buildup. Emotion. Rage. Desperation."

None of that was apparent in the casual bumbling around of the perp on video. That's what baffles.

I'm still getting caught up but wanted to comment on this before I forget. If the swatperp did in fact break in at an earlier point in the middle of the night, perhaps they were also able to stash a duffle bag of gear just inside the door, but out of sight of the camera. I'm still trying to figure out how they are so dry....short of someone dropping them off right at the entry point.

It is curious. There's really not much gear to pack. They carry their tools in the vest thingy. I still haven't ruled out that they came by motorcycle or 4 wheeler wearing the helmet. S/he wears a long rain slicker to stay dry. No muddy boots if they drive up to the door.

Anyway, here's a pretty horse picture. :)

I seem to remember a local (on a few threads back) confirming the key that MB had was to the Main doors (not the side doors where MB parked). I also seem to remember some discussion here about if those side doors even had a key or they were needing to be opened from the inside. It's been a while since I went back on threads so I apologize if I don't remember exactly.

You remember exactly what I recall having seen here earlier by a poster.... but I have no idea how to find it now. Which makes me believe MB entered by what I call the main front door, and parked her car under the portico side-door. Thanks (and thanks, Arkansasmimi, too ..... this is one area we apparently don't agree, though I enjoy your posts and usually do have similar conclusions).

Good one- Preakness house race this weekend! I live in MD. Yes, OT-

Yes! That's what I think too! Two Swatperps and the heights are different. That's why they had to bring in the experts and do a reenactment at the church. I was wondering if anybody else thought that. So glad I'm not the only one! Giving that broad a range in height is a huge clue in that direction. IMO
Exactly. 2 perps !!!

Why have we mostly assumed this person would have muddy shoes? Not just you, 'cause I have, too. If they parked on cement, they would probably have wet shoes, but not necessarily muddy. Not sure if the church had rugs near the entrances anywhere, but shoes could have wiped off easily and not left much of a wet print on the floor, or they dried.

As regards the height discussion, let's not forget that when people talk about height in a forensic way, they're talking about being barefoot and without wearing anything on one's head. In this case, I could imagine that the boots and helmet added, conservatively, 3-4 inches/7-10 cm. For the purpose of describing a person as one would see them in public, I think it's reasonable that they reported it that way (unless, of course, our perp typically walks around in that costume, but I think she'd be caught by now if that were the case).

Re: the gun question...

I was reading over my notes again today (since we had some time), and looked at the wording in that 4/22 presser again. When asked by a reporter during Q and A about this topic, Cmdr Spann's exact reply was, "I did not say the victim was shot."

What he didn't say was: "No, the victim was not shot." There is a difference, however subtle.

Earliest LE statements have also declined to state 'how the victim died' even though SW and a few news sources also state she died of head and chest 'puncture wounds' consistent with the tools lying nearby. That (IMO) is also carefully sidestepping a direct answer (if she was shot), and as it seems to be something LE needs to keep close to the vest in order to capture or convict their suspect, I have no issue with that.

I'm sorry, I have a hard time believing that license plate is unreadable. I think LE has a plan, maybe not the best, but cmon, they are not going to give away their hard earned fact finding investigation for the public. These are tidbits for info. We are all hungry for
an arrest...it will come

I hope it that is true, because *if* indeed the car is involved and *if* it is unreadable due to a preplanned manipulation of their license plate, then I am going to have to rethink my whole gut feelings about this case because it would seem way bigger than I orginally thought. I just have a hard time believing a one time jealous aquaintance kill would have thought of every angle and spent so much time planning, prepping, and buying supplies. IMO

I just hope there is justice for Missy!

Does anyone know if there are transcripts anywhere of MPD's press conferences, and Brandon Bevers' media interviews?

I'm putting together notebooks on my OneNote app to try to gather everything in one place. There sure is a lot of info to gather considering we still know nothing!! Lol.

I think they had made peace with what they were there to do and were maybe even excited. jMO

What the new height details tell the world (especially the friends and family of SP who have been suspicious) is that SP is not a 6 foot tall Goliath, in fact SP is not even 5'8" or 5'9" tall. SP is no taller than 5'7" and not shorter than 5'2". This tells me SP is 5'4"-5'5". Just thinking that I would be adding some inches to the height on both ends, if I were making an announcement. It is called "wiggle room". But, the circle of possible suspects is tightening and it is starting to look more and more like a FSP. And by the look in SP's eyes, there was no fear, only calm before the rage. Whoever did this didn't just start acting weird. This is a mental break down, someone has to have noticed. So, some people are starting to squirm, as in "oh, no! It can't be her, right?"

Just saying. JMHO

I see progress. Eyes are on other people now. And most of all SP feels the pressure.

I just so happens that LE released a single shot of a vehicle sitting in the very parking lot where newly released video shows that parking lot has cameras that work very well. Well enough to be able to count the money of the man in the truck. Come on. This is serious pressure.

This was a huge announcement.

Thank you LE.

The assumption of "muddy shoes" is simply tied to the assertions by some that the perp didn't come to the parking lot via vehicle, but instead parked somewhere well away from the church, far away enough where vehicle would not be seen, and then hiked to get there In light of the rain and the surrounding terrain, that means a long muddy hike wearing or carrying the gear..

Personally, I don't find much likelihood in that scenario. And accordingly, I don't think there were muddy prints. I suspect I'm not the only one that thinks that.

OT: Gotta love Websleuths and its members. I could probably count on my hands, and have fingers to spare, how may sites have members who take notes. Along with the moderation, this is a quality of the community that has made WS the flagship site for missing persons and crime discussion.

While watching the SWFA surveillance videos of "Guy Stealing a Flashlight" in that link posted in Thread 20 (thanks, poster, sorry I can't remember who!), I grabbed this screenshot of the guy putting the item into his pocket...and then realized he was in the hunting section of the store. Interestingly enough, there is a wall full of chest and back packs on the wall behind him.

I wondered if our perp had maybe shopped here. Or practiced at the large, local outdoor gun range. It is not uncommon for people in rural areas (especially here in Texas) to own several guns, hunt, and be proficient using them. I don't think it would take a professional hitman, in other words, to have killed Missy in Midlothian (if a gun were in fact used).

If the perp was in the Nissan car at the gun store, I was wondering why they stopped there. Maybe to put on their helmet and Police patches before entering the church parking lot? Like others have said, I think they suspect or know the perp was in this car. Whether they saw it drive across the grass median. saw it after it made a u-turn, and/or saw it pull into the church lot.

Maybe they put it out to see if the suspect will attempt to remove the sticker showing guilt. Or the suspect will refuse to come forward as the person in the gun parking lot also implying guilt.

The weather charts posted here are a big help showing weather on the hour. IIRC, there was also a local poster in these threads who reported it was only "lightly raining" at 4:45 AM...which s/he remembered specifically as the dog needed to go out and poster had to walk dog due to area coyotes. That was just 5 minutes before Swatperp was first seen on camera in the halls of CC.

(I've looked through my notes but cannot find the post, sorry! Think it was within this past week, though. Thread 19 or 20?)

RBBM

Help me understand how the 4:45 am weather is important. ☹️ Numbers trip me up often, and I'm operating today on little sleep.

(I recall this original 4:45-dog-coyotes post, too, and was all sorts of confused then, as well.)

The press release MPD issued on April 22 states that the perp is first seen on video at 3:50 am, an hour and five minutes before the local poster let her dog out at 4:45.

Isn't the weather at 4:45 a nonissue, as far as the perp's arrival is concerned?

Time line given by the MPD. April 22, 2016 https://www.facebook.com/1950470073...1462364174./10154082916172359/?type=3&theater

Unless someone said they were just waiting for the rain to stop and that is why they didn't get out of their car until 5:00. I dunno.

Great points and I agree with everything you said. This is definitely serious pressure being put on by LE and I think it's an intelligent way of going about it. I agree with the height info too.
