My working theory is gaining more and more in substance. The SP is literally sweating bullets right now. They are trying to be informed of any possible progress. The silence is killing them. The balaclava did not hold back your sweat and your tears. Your nose was dripping too. Tic tac.

Yes. Sleepless nights, nerves on fire, paranoid as hell...

Personally, I don't think the perp is sweating at all. I think they think they got away with the perfect crime. I've seen nothing to believe LE is close to an arrest. Remember the presser many weeks ago they said the Altima was one of the last leads. I want to be wrong.

One of the last leads in connection with surveillance tapes from surrounding businesses. Not sure if the Altima is involved or if the lead needed to be followed up for exclusion purposes.

Put yourself in that position. The whole world is looking at you as a possible suspect (RB), and you have dog blood on some shirts. If you throw the shirts out, people think you are destroying evidence. If you keep the bloody shirts, they will think it must be from the crime. If you take them to the dry cleaners, you look bad, but you are at least being open about it. I suppose the right thing to do would be to quietly take the shirts to LE and explain your story.

Love ya' NIN! Great post!

Speaking of noses....my working theory is as plain as the nose on SP's face. IOW, it's obvious to me.

Tick tock....

I don't think the Altima is involved. I think they do have to follow up on every lead to be safe, but I think it was a distraction. I believe they're also strategically wording their statements to satisfy the public...some of the SMS groups are ridiculous and people have been crazy in handling their opinions. To clarify, I dont live in that town, but have friends who do..I'm not far from there. From those I talk to regularly, they're not afraid...but, I won't speak for everyone as we all handle things different. I think MPD has details only SP would know, and it's just a matter of time before someone in someway gets too cocky and slips up. All JMO!!

I have two "cell phone numbers" . One for my actual cell phone and I have a tablet for which I have a data plan. To use the data the tablet requires a sim card. With the tablet and data I can connect to the internet without wifi, send and receive email and text messages, and if I wanted to I could make a phone call (which I never do).The sim card has a phone number attached. When I receive my cell phone bill both telephone numbers activities are detailed.

Having an additional data plan adds about $15 to my bill and it allows me to get much more work done without lugging around my laptop.

You are are absolutely correct. Tablets, iPad, etc., with a data plan have a MDN (cell phone number) assigned and they also have an ICCID or IMSI (SIM number) ICCID or IMSI depends what device is being used. However, the search warrant clearly states cell phones and no mention of tablets or iPads. Since it's a SW I think they were only looking at cell phones. Maybe there's additional SW's for other devices that haven't been released.

Snipped for space and BBM
Your Affiant seeks to obtain historical records maintained by AT&T in the ordinary course
of business which document all such electronic/digital signals to/from the "Target
Numbers" (for a specified date range), which can be analyzed and utilized to identify
specific cell phone devices, GPS locations and cell phone subscriber information, which
in turn can lead to the identity of the unknown suspect(s) responsible for the murder of
Ms. Bevers as described above.

As always, this is MMO!!

what is your working theory?

I have posted it before. POI is possibly a CChurch affiliate. Motive: MB "disgraced" "their" church with something, that was either directly or indirectly (tape) witnessed by that person not so long prior to MB's murder. The CG group in general was an "eyesore" to that person. They wanted them to find MB "crucified" at the church. They "cleansed" the church by their action. Somebody knows, but is bound by priest-penitent privilege. LE was still tipped off by a person close to person with knowledge. Bevers family.. is not involved.

All IMO

A psychic from LA did weigh in on the ordeal. She said to look at BB. And then the longer she talked (typed) the nuttier she sounded until she lost all credibility.

Even in a not too recent interview, the police said they were looking to BB to come forward with any information he may have about the suspects.....

Now, why on Earth would PD say that if they truly knew you were clueless??? Anyhoo, this whole thing stinks to high heaven. I have been following here since the beginning and i just cannot tell you how many times i have jumped from suspect to suspect. Too many coinikydinks...to beat odds. This is my 2nd case on WS, the first being Teresa Sievers, and its all just too familiar.

I'd love to know your theory...........

I think I'm pretty much bumfuzzled like most here...LOL

I was leaning very strongly toward CT but I keep going back to the surveillance video and there are just too many questions. Portions of the video appear to be a woman's gait & stance, while other portions appear to be a man's walk. Body shape changes from plump to skinny. And the eye pictures I keep working on vary too.

I do know that the killer went to extraordinary lengths to conceal his/her identity, and I seriously doubt they took a phone with them. I feel police probably have some people in mind but really have no evidence to charge anyone.

I fear this will become a cold case.

Whoever the killer is...I do believe they hated Missy Bevers with a passion.

ALL JMO: Also, I don't for a second believe that they don't have plates of that Altima and a better view. As far as shirts, think it's distraction, but damned if you do, damned if you don't. I would've just taken it to police quietly as someone else stated. Ive always considered others involved in some way, but that they weren't actual perp. Too many things that don't add up for me, and it seems so brutal and like a personal, horrendous attack. Again JMO!!

If they are a psychopath maybe not, maybe excited or thrilled that we and LE are stumped?

yep, I don't believe the killer feels any remorse or guilt or worry at all. I think they are probably very pleased with what they did & how they did it.

I have had companies who supplied me with a phone, for contact with certain clients, so my personal phone number was not given out.

Also, MB's business "location" was her phone, not a storefront. In that setup, the way you shut the doors is to be able to turn off the phone at a certain hour, and send all the calls to voicemail until you "open" again for business.

Of course, there are also nefarious reasons for an extra phone.

There could definitely be special circumstances where two phones are necessary, but I haven't been given any reason to believe that special circumstances would fit here.

A few years ago it was more common to have both a work and personal cell phone. As technology has progressed more and more companies have moved away from this - it's not cost effective and it's a burden for employees to carry both devices. There are features, software, apps, etc., that can eliminate caller ID and so forth.

MOO:)
