Okay, I'm off to watch the video full screen again.....Geez! You'd think I would have it memorized by now! ;)

I swear I am cross eyed now after looking at the video 500 damn times!

Wow, I just found a very interesting article about a police impersonator who in broad daylight pulled someone over and tried to force them into their car saying they had a warrant for them, but the cop impersonator fled because she called her husband who spoke to LE during the confrontation:
http://legacy.wfaa.com/story/news/c...sonator-on-the-loose-in-north-texas/29408351/
Here's another article saying this same person struck in multiple cities:
http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2015/08/31/police-impersonator-sought-in-rockwall/
Here's a description of them in their 30s to 40s and 5' 5" to 5' 8", so the size and age could match:
http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Carrollton-Police-Release-Sketch-of-Police-Impersonator.html
It could be this person or someone of that same mentality, but it certainly shows how bold someone could be. Also if there's a vehicle that was visible to Missy, this says it could have looked like a LE vehicle. This person has both robbed as well as engaged in sexual assault, so LE may be happy to let people think this may be a woman if they actually know there was a sexual assault and that's why they're keeping things under wraps.

At the 1:22 mark when he/she opens the bottom of the Dutch door I wish they would have moved forward and banged their head not realizing the rest of the door was still there! The surprise the person shows when realizing the top part is still there was like they leaned back and said something like, "Whoa!" Too bad we can't hear them!

Other than the clothing, is there something else that points to LE to you?

Here is my list:

1. Clothing.

2. Professional Breach Equipment (the tools used to pry open doors and such).

3. Even though the person is right-handed (see use of hammer), opens doors and uses flashlight with LEFT hand, which would be standard LE training procedure so you keep your dominant hand free in case you need to draw your service weapon.

4. The way they hold the flashlight up to eye level instead of extending it out. (think HGN test, when the officer flashes the light in a DWI suspect's eyes)

5. The way the perp seems to slightly crouch and peer around corners, opens all unlocked doors as though a security check.

6. Methodical way of checking the building---first checks all exterior rooms clockwise and then interior rooms clockwise.

7. Perp reaches for something near his/her throat (in front of bulletin board) that appears to be keying a microphone.

A friend of Missy wrote a tribute to her on her blog pages. I don't think we are allowed to link to blogs, but you can google it easily:

Well, it's hard to tell from the grainy footage, but I don't see how the perp could be holding a flashlight, a hammer, and a box of saran wrap all at the same time. I feel like I can see the outline of a headlamp in the first shot 1:46. I thought it was a reflection at first, but in the next sequence you can see the circle of light cast by the headlamp very clearly. And in that shot, the perp is holding the mysterious box (referred to as saran wrap by many posters here), and their trusty little hammer, so no hands left for a mag light.

I don't see the "saran wrap" in their hand until the end when they come out of "Room 12". I also see the headlamp and also see the cast off on the wall for a quick second at 1:47 (almost 1:48). If you go frame by frame, it's very clear and easy to see! I don't see a flashlight at all. I only see a hammer in the right hand. It does look like they might have something in their left hand but I'm not sure I see the flashlight some are seeing.

How would a headlamp be switched on and off then? He/she had a crowbar in one hand and a flashlight in the other?

We have a headlamp and it is easy to switch off and on. It has a little button on the side that powers on/off. The crowbar/hammer thingy is in the right hand and I am not sure if there is anything in the left but it could be something. IMO, it doesn't look like a flashlight. Are y'all thinking flashlight because of the light cast on the wall or do you clearly see a flashlight?

I'm just curious. It seems we all see something different. :)

You would reach up with a free finger and press the button. It is very easy. I use headlamps all the time when we go camping.

I've been reading on and off today and I see there really isn't any "new" news today.

I do have a question, though. An acquaintance of mine was tagged in a photo this morning of the workout in Midlothian. The comments said that there is still a police presence at these workouts. Is this common given the situation or can we read more into it? Just wanted some opinions on it. I can see that it might just be standard operatin procedure but I can also see how we could read more into it. Thanks

1. We are not seeing totally continuous footage. Different times/scenes are edited and spliced.
2. He/she has lots of pockets and perhaps even a tool belt to stash the tools between uses.
3. In the flashlight/door pose he/she has no hands free to turn a headlamp on and off.

The items in the hands change, there is no doubt. During part of the time when they are standing by the bulletin board, they put away a prybar and then have different items in their hands. But that SWAT vest will hold lots of tools. Google "swat entry tool vest" and look at the images.

In the video where he's working (not very hard) at picking the door lock, I see him reaching into his front vest for tools. I think he carried some accessory items in the front vest and possibly a piece of paper in his pocket. He is shown with various items at various times, but no bag carried with him. So it makes sense that these various items are probably in or attached to his vest, or SWAT outfit pockets. I also have thought I saw a headlamp in various shots. SWAT tactical gear does have that, so I'm thinking it's not a motorcycle or baseball helmet, though it can resemble the latter if without headlamp.

I don't think that happened here.

You know, now I can't even remember why we are pursuing this avenue?

WSl- Do any of you realize that this thread is expanding at the speed of light? I'd appreciate it if anyone would post tips on how best to keep up: What I'm doing now is I read the most recent page and POOF when I'm done there's at least 1 or 2 new pages !! I am clueless how to keep up. I use a computer not a fone - computer with keyboard & my hunch is that makes some diff' - tyia !!
When threads move really fast, I read every other page. With all the quoted posts, you won't miss anything important.

In the shot of the perp walking back toward the camera, we don't see him/her turn the camera on or off. It is on the whole time. And you can see the wall in front of them light up with a sort-of blue light from the headlamp.

Boredom because everything else has been discussed? ;)

With pockets full of tools, walking had to be hard but they would have been making noise too. Strange if they are wanting to sneak up on someone.

About the burglary theory of someone looking for the donations from Sunday's service. For anyone outside the churches of Christ, they probably don't know this, but with this particular denomination, Sunday collections are often not as great as you'd see in another denomination that practices tithing. In the churches of Christ, they don't believe they're held to the practice of tithing and only give what they've "purposed in their own hearts" which is often less than a traditional tithe. I was a member of the church of Christ for decades, and always heard that we didn't draw in as much money on Sundays as other denominations because of our no-tithing beliefs.

^sbm bbm^
True, this (or any) CoC's typical Sunday collections may not be as large as church of same membership size but other denomination which practices tithing.

However, I wonder how much/what percentage of Sunday donations is made in cash in this CoC?
Seems, if like other churches, most $$$ comes in form of checks. IDK if church burglars generally would be prepared to deal checks.<--- imo, moo, jmo,
to create new accounts & depositing cks, or do some check-washing, etc.
And in some churches, more weekly or monthly donations are made by debit cards, w $ not passing thru good old fashioned Sunday collection plates.
Or annual gifts of stock or other investments, again, not in Sunday collections.
IIRC, a poster (sorry, forgot who, but TYVM) noted this CoC's donations were ~$10,000 - 12,000/wk. IMO, not much of that would be actual greenbacks.
But many burglaries or deaths occur for less than $1000. Based on $ anticipated, by that alone, hard to rule out burglary as the motive.

^This may be irrelevant to this case & this perp, who staged a burglary, to distract from intended outcome - Ms B' death, imo, jmo, moo.
JM2cts, could be wrong.

I've not considered the footage clear enough to see a microphone. I don't rule it out, just I thought they just as well could have been fiddling with their equipment.
