Tears. Heartbreaking and touching at the same time.
Actually they have the story wrong. Parker pulled out nails and comforted and a second homeless covered and picked up the leg less girl and held an elderly woman as she died

We are managing Zen by wrapping a blanket of love around our community, we are doing everything we can do to help in this massive time of need. My son's friend was a victim, so my family has been personally affected. We live only a few miles from the arena and I have never witnessed anything like it. The love, the care, the selfless acts that people are making is absolutely amazing and the outpouring of love from the rest of the world is so heart warming, it's a time when no matter where you are in the world, you're affected. We felt the heartbreak when other countries were attacked and our hearts were heavy for you in whatever country you call home.
There has been a lot of activity in Manchester today and my daughter was in a building in the city centre next to where a raid has just taken place. It is far from over for any of us but just know whoever and wherever is next, we will stand beside you, as you and the rest of the world has done for us.

I am seeing unconfirmed reports that the UK General election scheduled for June 8, may be postponed. I hope so. It needs to be held at a time when things are more normalized.
He would be one of very few to be surprised it wouldn't happen so close to his home in UK.
This is definitely the norm for the UK & Europe now, this will be day to day life for people living in Europe.

Ukip has become the first party to announce it will resume election campaigning, with its leader, Paul Nuttall, announcing the party would launch its manifesto on Thursday morning.
It remained unclear whether the other parties would also resume campaigning, which was suspended after 22 people were killed in the Manchester bomb attack.
The other main parties were still discussing when to resume election efforts. The Conservatives have stopped all local and national campaigning for now. Labour has halted all central efforts, but some leafleting has taken place, at the discretion of local parties.

Yesterday rough sleeper Stephen Jones revealed how he pulled nails out of a little girl's face after terrorist Salman Abedi killed 22 people and injured 119 when he detonated a nail bomb at the end of an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena.
Mr Jones, who had been sleeping nearby, recalled watching in horror as children covered in blood began pouring out of the arena, leaving behind 'lifeless' bodies surrounded by 'hysterical' mother.
Another homeless man, Chris Parker, was begging in the stadium foyer when he heard the explosion. He described in graphic detail cradling a young girl who had been separated from her parents and lost both her legs in the blast.
Now West Ham's co-chairman David Sullivan and his son Dave Jnr have revealed they want to help reward Mr Jones, 35, for his selfless actions - while Mr Parker's estranged mother has come forward to say she wants to be reunited with her hero
I obviously don't speak for the rest of Europe, but I don't think it's the norm. It's horrific watching reports of this and the other recent events, and I'm not just trotting out the "keep calm and carry on" line - I was terrified as a kid when I saw new reports about attacks by the IRA etc, but whipping people into a frenzy doesnt help anyone, it just makes them stronger and us weaker mentally.
Prayers for all in Manchester!
