This made me smile -

A political journalist posted this picture on his twitter with the explanation that the Royal Air Force heading for an ISIS target, have written a message on their bombs.

So where is this leak coming from? The local police or CTU? This has to be addressed at top level.

It most certainly is not coming from the local police!!

Our intelligence services have shared information with their US counterparts and the US intelligence service has leaked it all to the media. We in the UK are not at fault at all. This is the fault of the US intelligence service and their loose lips.

Does anyone remember how they were able to identify the bomber so quickly?

Does that leave a brother, sister, mother?
No just a sister and mother. Three brothers, one was the bomber, one arrested in Salford yesterday, one arrested in Tripoli today, along with the father. I was worrying about the 3rd brother till news of that arrest today.

What about the woman arrested today? I hadn't seen if she was related to the bomber.

The most worrying part is the fact that its the US intelligence services who are responsible for leaking this information so that the US media can print it.

I am sorry to say that I don't think that the US can be trusted with our information anymore. :(

I must have missed something, why is everyone saying the information on the bomb, etc. were leaked instead of released?

Never mind, I found the post about US leaking intel. Sorry everybody.

Yes, you have missed something, because it wasn't information to be released, obviously!!!!!

It was secret intelligence from one intelligence service to another!!!!!!! Except the US intelligence service leaked it all to the media.

Our government told the US to stop leaking our information, but they just carried on. Absolute disgrace. The UK government is furious about this.

I don't think the date or AG being American was a factor. I'd guess the bomber just wanted to target the arena whenever and it just so happened the bomb was ready to go that day.

I think it is likely the one with the least perimeter security but also the other reasons are likely to be a bonus to Isis.

Yes that and they found a bank card in his pocket apparently.

Shame they can't empty his bank account and give his money to the survivors and the victim's families.

Training in Libya jihadist camp is not new to authorities. From the below article from 2015:

"Tunisian authorities have said the gunman who killed 38 tourists in Sousse on Friday was trained at the same Libyan jihadist camp as the two suicide gunmen who attacked the Bardo museum in Tunis in March."

"At least 21 Britons are known to have died when Rezgui, 23, rampaged through the luxury Imperial Marhaba hotel on the Sousse beachfront."

So this is beginning to become clearer. Libya involved in these other attacks too.

I doubt he had any left if he was going to blow himself and a crowd of innocents up.

Well they might do that yet! Here's hoping!

I have missed a few pages, so please excuse me if this has been posted.

Brother of Manchester bombing suspect knew an attack was coming, Libyan official says

The brother of Salman Abedi, the suspect accused of carrying out a bombing in Manchester, England, that killed 22 people, allegedly said he knew his brother was going to carry out an attack, but did not know where or when, according to a spokesman for Libya’s counterterror forces.

Dagdoug said Hashem Abedi also revealed that he knew exactly how the bomb was made, and that he believes that Salman created the device by himself. He said that he provided some assistance to his brother, but added no specific details as to what that was.

Dagdoug told ABC News that the two brothers do consider themselves to be members of ISIS and said that they had been studying ISIS videos online, including instructional videos that teach the viewer how to make a bomb.

The focus is now very much on the Libyan connection. Abedi’s father was a fighter with an Islamist group banned by the UN’s Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee after the 9/11 attacks in New York. The Independent has learned he once worked for the Gaddafi regime’s security apparatus before turning towards hardline Islam: one of his associates once ran a group called the Islamic Martyrs’ Movement.

The Abedi elder, also known as Abu Ismail al-Obaidi, was a long-term member of the Libyan Islamist Fighting Group (LIFG), which had forged links with al-Qaeda during the war against the Russians in Afghanistan. He left Manchester to take part in the uprising against Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 and currently works with a militia, the Nawasi Brigade, in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

Meanwhile family members of the Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi have been arrested in Libya and the UK. The bomber’s father, Ramadan Abedi, was taken away in Tripoli by masked gunmen from a government militia as he was giving a television interview declaring that his dead son was innocent. Another son living in the city with him, Hashem, was detained soon afterwards, with Libyan officials officials stating that he had links with Isis. Salman Abedi’s mother, Samia Tabbal, and another son, Ismail, have been arrested in Manchester.
