What's your opinion on this?

My short answer would be if he carried Alesha from the flat to the woods, neither of them were wearing that particular hoodie which Sarah claims to have analysed. Of course, all sorts of other explanations are also possible

I read somewhere it was found approx half a mile north of where joggers were found...this may or may not be true

Maybe they thought that only showing the evidence of him after he committed the crime was enough.
By 'they' is that the police? What was the reason that it was made available to the public anyway?

It was found in a rock pool by a member of the public who thought 'it looked out of place'. They heard a 16 year old boy had been arrested so told the police. The officer told her he didn't think it was relevant to the case but would bag it anyway. Not sure if he ever did bag it but it ended up in the skip.

The proof of whether he had the hoodie while he took A along the road would be on the CCTV of the house that he passed. No idea why there wouldn't be any fibres found on A's clothes.
