A quick Google search brought this up:
Can Psychopaths Cry or Experience Sadness? There are some areas where psychopaths may experience normal emotions and grief is one such area. In response to death of a person with whom there is a bond, some psychopaths can experience sadness and this may even bring about feelings of guilt which are otherwise impossible to feel. Crying may be a part of this. Exposure to trauma may also bring about emotions that would normally be suppressed in a psychopath. It is also known that psychopaths are aware of the emotional separation between them and the rest of the world and this can cause them great dissatisfaction and suffering. Suffering may also be as a result of a desire for attention. There are other areas where psychopaths may actually be hypersensitive to emotions due to a history of abuse or neglect - which is common in psychopaths (Psychopathic Personality and How It Develops). Examples of this can be experiences of disrespect, rejection by others, changes in circumstances that are not under their control and loneliness.

Not sure how reputable the source is.

That makes me think of that video when he was a wee boy and when he made a show of pretending to cry

I can't really sit well with 'everything before the verdict was a lie' and 'everything in his confession was true'.

To be fair we don't even know his whole confession.

The evidence was there to find him guilty (and he was found guilty emphatically).

I'm not going to change my mind over missing Nike hoodie fibres.

I don't know if the hoodie came in contact with Alesha, but AC certainly did, unfortunately.

We don't know the full details from court nor as you say, his full confession. And how much emphasis could we put on what he says.

I am sure the graphic details he disclosed in his confession could be easily corroborated, and I don't believe for one minute any outside influences have got to him in isolation in polmont to fill him in on what he should say,and any normal 16 year old boy would be a mess if they were coerced in any way to confess to this abhorrent crime and spend the rest of their life in prison.
I personally don't care about the hoody,if he wrapped Alesha up in it or not,I just care that this beautiful little girl got justice and can now be at peace, let's not forget that her death held anything but.

I wonder if the shadowy figure is wearing a hoodie or just wearing a t shirt or topless? His t-shirt never did show up either...

Defence asks Sgt if it was “a bit reckless to discard item”. Witness denies this as he had no information that clothing was outstanding as part of murder inquiry

I would die being incarcerated but frankly this seems like a hotel for these kids. Not bad at all. Is this going to be his life? Smoking, socializing, etc.?

I think that video is a tad fictionalised. I mean the general gist of it is probably fairly accurate but some of is a bit acted. I very much doubt he'll be socialising with anyone, the other inmates would try and beat him or kill him in Polmont. He'll be kept segregated. Plus he'll only be there for just over another 4 years. However, he will have it fairly easy. TV, video games, access to the gym, shop to buy magazines, access to academic courses if he wants etc.

It is upsetting to read your last sentence.
These activities, if permitted, would be an asset for a teenager, and in no means, I feel, is Justice.
MOO.

It's hard to think of the likes of him enjoying those things while so many will suffer forever. Glad to know he will likely be segregated though.

Yep! Most unassuming bloke ever, one of the kids favourite teachers, sometimes this world really sucks!!

I'm totally suspicious of all male teachers. Anyone who has access to kids could be a paedophile. Scout leaders. Tutors. Mates of my husband. You just never know.

I know l shouldn't be. But it seems they agree all around us. I saw on a documentary the other day that said 1-3% of the male population have paedophilic tendencies. It's a shame for my daughter she will never have the freedom of playing out all day with her mates in the summer holidays as l did. I would kill myself if something like this happened to her. But not before l made sure they suffered a horrible death first.

If her mood is a little off..if she has a bruise that l don't know how she got, l check something has upset her, did something happen. As subtlety as l can. There's a reason why our kids are anxious these days. But maybe that's better than the alternative.

Everything wasn't a lie. There were truths interspersed with the lies. It's not my intention to cast aspersions but l wonder if there is any truth in his claims of a relationship with TM.

The lack of fibres from the hoodie is hard to understand but as a seamstress for sure some fabrics shed more than others. I really think it depends if the inside of the hoodie was fleece backed or if it was Jersey. The latter is less likely to shed. The other thing is there was so much evidence and this hoodie was potentially contaminated so maybe they just didn't look that hard.

Edit the joggers were likely loop back and that sheds everywhere

I'm in the process of trying for a child at the moment. Sometimes I wonder what world I'd be bringing a kid into...

Oh no,I think that's so sad, kids need to be kids,we can't keep them from ever getting hurt(As much as we want to)and the chances of something happening really are small(this is not really the place to support that theory).
I don't think that can be true,1 -3% of men?!.
I think though that apart from the fact that the population is much greater these days so more chance statistically of encountering a paedophile or a psychopath, these people and these dangers have always been there, they were there when we were young,I remember the big one when I was young was the Jason Swift case, that was in all the nationals, but we have the world literally at our fingertips now so all that exposure magnifies our fears.

Yeah, it's not just that as well. I don't speak to most of my family and my husband's family are limited. All l can say is help anyone who wants to have a serious relationship with her it will be so much worse than Meet The Parents :D

@Kiranerys well, it was in a documentary a university psychology professor said it. Tendencies don't equate to actions though. But l totally believe it. When we were kids the London marathon ran past my nan's house and we used to look out for Jimmy Savile and wave to him:eek:

They didnt check the hoodie at all - as you said, it was considered contaminated from the skip

I totally understand your point and I agree with the need to be cautious, that % is highly concerning too, but female teachers can be paedophiles/abusers as well. In fact, they tend to get off lighter for some reason. I can think of numerous cases where female teachers have had sex with their underage students and I don't think it's taken as seriously. It just seems to be a sad case that unfortunately people in positions of power/care sometimes take advantage of those they are meant to protect.

I worked in Polmont as a contractor and know several people who have been inside and it was absolute hell for them. They all described it as much harder than Barlinnie for example. AC might be the highest profile to ever have been in there though but a door will be left opened / blind eye turned at some point. They’ll get to him.
