It's unfathomable. At the start I thought he must have been involved with the murderer somehow, especially as they were tried together but no. I've not followed this trial very closely (most of the coverage I've seen has related to the murder itself) so correct me if I'm wrong but, did this guy, independent of anyone else just happen to find a 16 year old girl's dead body in a park (without anyone telling him it was there) and then decide to touch her (very) inappropriately and then hide her body again?!
It's so sickening it's beyond belief!

I’m still so confused about how did they even figure out that there was another person involved.
If I recall correctly his defence said he wasn’t seen on cctv whereas Amber and Connor were. The cellphone data didn’t show him being there either. The brother has never admitted to anything so it’s not like he told them that her body had been moved or hidden. Is it just that they found dna other than Amber’s and Connor’s and they happened to have his on file?

Yes, I imagine it was that they found DNA and had a match. It doesn't mention any past convictions for him

So Stephen Corrigan was released on bail back in January, because of a very strange story where he was helping another youth who lived in an elderly man’s house? How on earth could he have been released back into the community? Given the disgusting crime he committed? I just despair at our justice system sometimes.
