I have just watched a video of AK walking carrying a white plastic bag. He does not have a black jacket on. There are 2 men following him, you see him turn as if to keep an eye on them. They walk faster up to him and you see him turn to say something to them. I think they ask him something first and then he turns.

what video is that? can you please link? the only video I saw of someone carrying a white plastic bag is the one with the man & the woman and Anthony following them

So, just to clear a few things up (and this is based upon a map where his movements are traced with times on), he leaves The Lamb at 19.16, heads in a direction past the E&C last seen at 19.21, and then is caught by CCTV returning in the opposite direction with a white bag in his hand @19.37.

Have I got that right and, if I have, what shops are open and in that possible vicinity of 19.21 during the unaccounted 20 minutes?

Has the garage CCTV been discounted as being him? Would certainly explain why the Pell's pool was a focal point. it's also directly across from the fire station which is a bit of a coincidence.

This is the footage, no white bag.

The young girl who lived near me Libby Squire, they searched the water ways for her. They found her 7 weeks later in the Humber Estuary. They still searched for her, they knew she was in the water, but had not emerged yet. Water gets rid of DNA but not always all of it. They charged that polish butcher with her murder, and rape so they must have found DNA and that was after 7 weeks.
Yes i am following Libbys case too. Trial coming soon isnt it

Looking at the above footage, it almost seems to me like Anthony speeds up when he sees the van going past. The van then puts their indicator on when it's almost level with Anthony to turn (checking Google maps there is a turning there). Total speculation, but could he have been meeting with the driver of the van? That could explain the time he spent not being seen and then walking back past the camera later.

This is a much cleaner cctv footage him walking behind the two people. No bag, rubbing his hands.

Haven't seen him in any footage carrying a white bag. Please link to the video you are referring to. Otherwise it just gets too confusing.

He 100% speeds up when he sees the van imho. The people in front of him turn as well when the van is level, possibly the van pipped the horn? All speculation on my part.

Just wondered about the Ouse and his (or is it a her) current..... Does it run strong in wintertime? Sorry for being graphic...just thinking about where a body would go if it's in the river.

The Ouse (/uːz/ OOZ) is a river in the English counties of West and East Sussex. It rises near Lower Beeding in West Sussex, and flows eastwards and then southwards to reach the sea at Newhaven. It skirts Haywards Heath and passes through Lewes.

Have I missed something obvious all along? I thought this was a group of friends from the same firestation out in Lewes for the night but I've read something on the Lewes Present page that says it was a group of firefighters from different areas who chose Lewes as a central meet up. Now this might not be true or I might have missed this early on. Anyone any idea ?

At the time he went missing the tide had just turned from its highest point which means it would be heading out to sea pretty rapidly. With the high volume of water that night the current would be stronger that usual. The river doesn't go though any populated areas after Lewes until Newhaven then it's into the English channel.

I've been wondering if it was meant he was carrying a white bag on his return or if that was someone else, so thanks for asking this.

Thank you for your insights.

Don't wanna be macabre but has beachy head been brought up? It's only 25 min to Eastbourne or seaford from Lewes via bus/train

I interpreted that as, they all work together but live all over and that was the easiest place for everyone to meet up.

My believe is that they were his colleagues from the same fire station. They live in different places and they met up in Wickich (or something like that, its somewhere up the thread), beying some kind of central point on the map and moved from there with a Uber to Lewes.

edit to add, typo

Sorry, can you elaborate....do you mean he could have gone there? Why there in particular?

It's a world famous suicide spot. Very high vertical cliff faces for miles between seaford and Eastbourne
