Just because he was not on the train station cctv footage doesnt mean his intention was not to go there!

Not gdpr then but I wonder why on google street view faces are blurred out.... yet cctv of everyone on a night out is fair game

would it be shared still if kids were in the footage?

feels wrong somehow
wherever there is CCTV, there has to be a sign saying so (even though we either ignore them or subconsciously don’t notice them as they are all around), so that we can choose to be in that vicinity or not. By sticking around it’s implied that you consent to being filmed.

When the Google car is driving round doing its thing, we don’t have the opportunity to choose to be captured by it or not, so they have to scrub our faces in case we wouldn’t have given permission.

Erm, Taxi, Uber, Hitchhike adhoc mate do you need a lift. Any number of possibilities. Non of which need you to own a car or catch a train!

The trains had been cancelled and only started running around that time, so was probably very crowded on the CCTV, plus there was also a bus he could have caught.
One thing I did notice was on the early evening footage as A leaves it’s a group of 4 who walk off. There was 12 of them out altogether, they obviously weren’t sticking like glue as a group and were catching up and leaving people throughout the day. Do they have bouncers on pub doors in Lewes and do they all allow large groups in?

That’s a really, really good point.

Maybe AK was looking for some of the other lads?

Hello All, This is the scenario! It is a work get together Anthony's Fiannce drops him off at aprox 12:30pm to meet up with his colleauges and have a good time. The agreement is he will be back home by 2AM so as his Fiance can go to work (one assumes he has to be home because there are Children to look after and so they are not at home alone by them selves.

I really do not believe albeit possible that a gentleman who had gone from an electrician to a firefighter with all the dedication it takes in both trades dump his fiancee and Children a few days before Christmas.

As a smoker I do believe it is very possible to leave somewhere quickly in order to
  • Have a quick smoke outside usually unnoticed. (yep done it myself many a time)
  • If you realise you havent got ciggies find somewhere to buy them (I Have done this as well quite unknown to my group of friends)
  • Find a ciggie store go back to where you started only to find your mates gone.
  • I am also one of those people who get to a point in time on a Social outing where I just want to go home and will make a snap decission and just do it.
I personally think Anthony went missing between going on a ciggerette finding mission and returning to where he thought his friends would be but wern't. They had moved on without noticing him missing. He thought Fk It and tried to make his way home.

Just My Personal Opinion Nothing More

I pretty much agree with you. Also if his phone battery died (one possibility) at 7.20pm he had no way of contacting his buddies to locate them easily.

I know this is very unlikely but this just happened in Bognor Regis which is 35 miles from Lewes, and I had to think of Anthony:

Men arrested after women 'find pills hidden in kebab'

Did he have a kebab or something somewhere and inadvertently ingested something?

Elainera, it’s as good a guess as any other reasons for his disappearance, the police are completely stumped.

There's a post on Lewes present of the river on the night in question it's about half a foot from bursting its banks.

I think the water is the most likely option. If that's the case hopefully it won't be too much longer until he's found.

I read somewhere that Anthony’s phone is an iPhone. The location of an iPhone is traceable with the ‘find my phone’ option but I assume it wasn’t activated. It’s really handy for finding the location of the phone, I have used it a number of times for finding my daughter’s iPhone.

This photo is potentially quite chilling. The bystander on the opposite side of the road is focussed directly on the group of three. And the woman (and who, btw, walks with their arms folded?) seems to be communicating with the bystander. They are looking directly at each other.

he looks like he's focused on the car to me, maybe about to open the door

Thinking of you Anthony. I pray you will soon come home to your family

I thought Anthony was stood with the 2 women. One man is walking up on the same side as they are. One woman seems to be looking directly at him. Across the road is another man just staring at the 3 of them. I'm sure it's 2 women, you see them walking together without AK.

Just saw a comment from AK's sister in law on Lewes Present fb that this is not him. The comment is under a post made by a poster with initial LB 8 hours ago. The "not him" was posted one hour ago.

Tbh tho its all quite chaotic with so many comments there. Hopefully there will be an official statement today with some clarity.
Did not think it was him. Looks nothing like him.

This is part of a post on Lewes Present posted 1 hour ago -

Search and Rescue and the police have now called off their physical searches, however the police will be continuing their investigations. Police presence will be still seen. We too have called off any further searches for now as all areas have been covered 3 times over.
They have given up quickly haven't they? So if non of the footage was of AK, when he left the pub, he can't of walked off towards the town or station.
