Theres a lot of information on Lewes social media page that is stating the phrase "walking away from the fire station " meant only the direction he was walking..ie the firstation would have been behind him ..but the cctv is on market street much lower down ..so the info is stating there is no reason to think he went to fire station

Thanks...that's was what I wanted to know...so at that stage he was nowhere around water...maybe he just got lost a little and was still on his way to the taxi-stand/station.

Looking at the map and the locations of Market Street and the Rights of Man pub, it seems he may have been heading in the direction of Lewes railway station.

He does look depressed though, imo.

Its difficult to explain as most is on lewes social media ..but from locals its suggested his route may have been ..out the side entrance of the lamb onto market lane then right onto market street ...but 40 mins ?

Was that cctv clip from the camera referred to above?

Something like this...but this would only take 4 minutes. What did he do in the mean time....maybe he just bought some food.

I don't think he looks depressed. Maybe he is annoyed he has to go home or just lost the way, is trying to concentrate after enough bears, just having deep thoughts.....I think his fiancé knows his face and what is going on in his head better then we.

Has she commented on it, to your knowledge?

If he went to the fire station after leaving the pub, and then walked along Market Street to the vicinity of the Rights of Man, google has it as a 15 minute walk.

The route makes a bit more sense now

Coming down North St /Market St to the War Memorial, he could then have gone right towards the Rights of Man pub, which would explain the interest in their cctv

eta, I see Tortoise has already covered this, will leave the map up to show the Rights of Man location. I agree re the train station, could have been heading there.

Some stupid thoughts. Could it be he fell in somebody's garden who are abroad. And wasn't there also something wrong with the castle-walls? Steep sidewalks?? I just don't see him ending up in the little or the big river, except if somebody did something to him. I think they have to look where he was last spotted asap.

Maybe he visited someone and that encounter annoyed him. Jmo.

I know a picture doesn't tell you everything, but he really doesn't seem to be so drunk or in trouble. I agree with the people saying he looks annoyed. Maybe something made him leave the pub?

It seems they did already so much to find him. From the Sussex Police. Honestly....I think they were to much focussed on the water angle.

"Specialist teams have carried out extensive searches of the area surrounding the pub and the Pells Pool area, which has been severely affected by flood water over the past few days.

Chief Inspector Sarah Godley said: “We have reviewed CCTV footage from a number of premises such as homes and businesses, and we are continuing to retrieve and review further footage as we attempt to find out what happened to Anthony. We hope this latest image of him may jog someone’s memory or help provide some new information about his disappearance.

“Our searches have included local officers, drones and the dog unit, and we have also been assisted by London Fire Brigade, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, the National Police Air Service helicopter, Sussex Search and Rescue and the Coastguard agency in our quest to locate Anthony.

“The area we have searched includes Pells Pool and Pellbrook Cut, as well as bins, street furniture, alleyways and dark areas.

“In addition to the local area, we have also extended our search of the River Ouse north towards Hamsey, and we will continue to search for Anthony until we get the answers his family are so desperately seeking. Seven days on, our priority remains to find him.

“A further search of the Pells Pool area and the river will be carried out over the weekend as the natural water level falls. The flood water has made our operation challenging, but we remain committed to finding Anthony.”

I don't know it's a still shot....maybe if I see him actually walking I could get another opinion.

What are street furniture?

What are street furniture?

Benches, garbage bins, things to put your dog poo in, public toilets...and the like.. public things placed by City Hall for our convenience :)
