I highly doubt that MB hit her with the Land Rover. The girl that was with April when she got into the vehicle doesn't seem to support this.

Thank you!

"Parents' evening
Mark Bridger was at a parents' evening between 5.30pm and 6pm, the local council has confirmed to Sky News. And it was the same parents' evening that April Jones's family were at. But, the council has said, Coral and Paul Jones are believed to have left at 3.30pm, meaning it is unlikely they and April overlapped with Bridger."

So, which media outlet has it right then? Did the parents evening start before 5pm and this one has it wrong?

"Witnesses saw the former leisure centre worker drive to the parents’ evening, which started at 5pm, in his blue Land Rover Discovery – a vehicle for which police have since issued an appeal for information."

And again, if he was at the parents evening at 6pm still, as the link above indicates, then how could he have almost hit that person at 6pm also? Surely he can't be in two places at exactly the same time. So, did he leave the school before 6pm? Is the person who saw him driving erratically at 6pm wrong in their times?

And the other links I posted must be wrong too then, because if April's parents where done at 3:30 they weren't still at the school when April was abducted.
I would go with named sources when in doubt, in this case sky say the council confirmed this

I mistrust alot of what I read now whichever paper its in, and unless I hear someone say it on tv I always take with pinch of salt

The reporting indicated it was not just one occasion.

I'm no fan of this guy but really, I see nothing wrong with his vehicle being parked on that estate when he has his own kids there that he collects/visits. Also, he's got several ex girlfriends an an ex wife in town. Without going into rumour, maybe he's seeing someone else on that estate.......

BIB I don't think so. AFAIK MH, the 7 year old witness was not one of his children. The 7 year old had been playing with his daughters and April previously but the only witness was MH who is not a daughter of MB

MB's former partner:

His former partner Elaine Dafydd, who lives close to April's home, has another daughter by her new partner, who was with April when Mr Bridger offered them a ride in his Land Rover last week.

If this is correct, the girl should have been able to recognize MB immediately.

Why is it being discussed that maybe he hit her with his vehicle by accident and panicked? Is there anything at all pointing to this theory?

But then she doesn't support it being that vehicle at all anyway, according to what everyone read about what she said. :dunno:

not that im aware of , just a theory , just trying to make sense of a few odd things.

The pics of the vehicle show the front covered up, yet they revealed the registration plate number. Why cover up the front of the vehicle? Damaged maybe?

The radiator section was covered, if there were clues, grass, weeds picked up while traveling it might stick there, they were preserving what might be evidence at a later time. Wind blows thru that section to cool the radiator and may collect other debris.

The pic released shows the front of the vehicle covered up, coupled with the alleged erratic driving.

IMO, this is just a bit of speculation.

I do wonder why police let it out now that he was being arrested on suspicion of murder, rather than wait until they are forced to charge him; perhaps they had spoken to the parents and knew it would get out to the media?

I am not 100% on this, but I do think that when the charge changes, from abduction to murder in this instance, then the line of questioning is able to be changed also

add to that, as you have said, someone might have leaked it to the media so better for the police to speak first

I read that as saying that her other daughter was with April when they were offered a ride by MB the week before, not the girl who was with her the night of the abduction.

Yep that's a possibility. It is just a train of thought that maybe he wasn't moving on...another possibility. I usually drive somewhere, get out, go in somewhere and return. Sitting in cars struck me as strange, but I suppose if he wasn't welcome maybe. Just having thoughts on it, same as everyone else.

In my opinion, the efforts to locate April have been all out and 110%-not sure why or how mentioning her illness from the start would have changed anything?

I was not implying the efforts have not been all out. I have no doubt they have been. Often in cases of a child abduction, information such as life sustaining medical needs are released in the hopes of gaining the sympathy of whoever abducted and is possibly holding the child. Suddenly knowing that the child they abducted is going to need noticeable medical care....such as care for such a specific medical condition....can be an incentive for the abductor to abandon the child in a public place and then flee. Someone who has abducted a child with no intent of murdering the child....will sometimes panic and set that child free when faced with the child's possible death. ( Granted these cases are very rare these days) That was the only reason why I wondered about not releasing the information.

Great explanation.

Sky shows Machynlleth in pitch black at 19:05 and the daylight drops by two minutes earlier each day post equinox. To give some credence to the fact that the vehicle on Monday would not have been viewed in daylight on Monday if she was taken circa 7pm.

Ok so well known man allegedly abducts child in front of awitness who very likely could easily identify him, then disposed of the body in broad daylight in front of two other witnesses who also know the man. Then walks down the side of the road to be picked up by police.
What would be the motive here? To leave as many witness as possible and see if he could get away with it? I'm telling you SOMETHING isn't right. It could be very well that with all the info we "know" about the case we in fact don't know anything about the "case". Is that all we have to go on right now?

Lisser - the school and place where he is supposed to have driven erratically are literally a minute away from each other.

I guess I was taking the 6pm time too literally. I imagine that one or both of the people who said the 6pm time could have been off by a couple of minutes which would give him the time to get from one place to the other.
