GUILTY UK - Arrest in 1987 'Bedsit Murders' of Wendy Knell, 25, and Caroline Pierce, 20, in Kent

Fuller married his second wife Sally in 1983
During 1982 Fuller would stay with a friend in Tonbridge whilst doing odd jobs for people he knew and worked for an electronics company in Tonbridge high street.
I am not sure how long he was dating Sally for before the marriage. I have also not been able to ascertain any connection with her ever working at Bedgebury girls boarding school or Fuller having done any of his odd jobs there.

So he could be responsible for Jean Brooks murder if he was living in the area in 1982. Bedgebury is not too far from Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells.He did not need to be living there. Bedgebury Forest and Pinetum is a very well known tourist area .JMO

From the court details, I've found that Caroline had recently moved into her flat and looks like she'd been there approx 6 or 7 weeks when Fuller jumped her. The flat had belonged to a work colleague of hers who was leaving the UK to go to Australia and it seems Caroline moved in pretty much when her colleague moved out.

Now here comes the weird part. When her colleague lived at the flat, she had reported prowlers and even had a friend move in with her as some security. The flat was then burgled twice by the looks of it: £400 stolen and then £100. Objects in the flat were noticed as being "moved" and the police even installed an anti-burglar mat which got set off but no-one was found. A prowler was reported as looking through the window in broad daylight and ran off when spotted by one of the occupants. Most of those incidents were reported to Kent Police local CID. It looks like Fuller was gaining access via the graveyard at the back. I find it odd that Kent Police didn't at least post a cop in that graveyard to keep an eye on the comings and goings. All those incidents took place after Wendy Knell's murder where prowlers were reported before and right up to that murder.

Then Caroline moved in and it would seem complained to the landlord about being unable to lock the windows. When the handyman turned up to fit locks to the windows, she apparently told him that she didn't feel safe and suspected a prowler was watching her or something like that.

Even her boss at the time expressed a concern in her statement to the police back when it all happened:

The only other thing of significance about Caroline Pierce relates to the flat in Grosvenor Flat. I was not particularly happy about her moving to this flat.

I am aware that Louise French, the previous occupant of Caroline’s flat, was concerned about a prowler and was very concerned that someone was getting into her flat.

I am aware that the prowler was one of the reasons she got her friend Alison to move in with her

As Whitehall 1212 correctly pointed out the fact that Fuller lived fairly nearby to Bedgebury forest is only circumstantial evidence.
We need to find something that would link Fuller with being there on the day of the murder to go anywhere with this theory.

LordPeterFlimsy found out that Jean Vera Brook worked in Camden road at some point and has provided us with a newspaper report to back this up. However at the actual time of her death she was working as a parts delivery driver for Hollingsworth the Ford Dealer in Hastings.
We know that Fuller liked to stalk people as he used social media to find out about the corpses he abused according to newspaper reports. Of course when the two women in TW were murdered it was before the days of social media so we do not know how he stalked them. When Jean Brook was murdered there was little in the way of any social media but he may have been aware that she had previously worked in Camden Road. There are also links with where she lived and Fuller having some family in nearby St Leonards-on-sea.

I would still like to find out if the lady called Sally who Fuller married ever worked at the Bedgebury girls school as this is very close to the Bedgebury forest and would have given him a motive for being in the area if it was around the same time. This interest is based on the fact that Sally was working at a different girls school, Broomhill Bank, a school for young girls during her marriage to Fuller.

Another thing I would like to find out is if Jean Brook had any historical break ins to her house or previous place of work in Camden Road prior to her being murdered. Everything would have been kept on paper record back then rather than computer so if someone broke into her previous place of work in Camden Road they could have found Jean's archived personnel files which would assist greatly in stalking her.

Thanks thats very interesting. Do we know the circumstances of Jeans murder? Any similarities with Wendy and Carolines? I imagine that if there was DNA recovered from Jeans murder the police would have linked the 3 murders?

There is very little said about the murder which is sad as the family need closure. I wonder if there was an inquest and a coroners report to state if she was sexually abused and if so was penetration before or after death.

The former manager of Jean Vera Brook at the place she worked called SIPD in Camden Road would probably have been a Mr Chantler who has sadly since passed away.
Now here is the interesting part but just a possible theory, there may be a connection with the Chantler surname and bird watching groups including visits to Bedgebury and we know that Fuller had an interest in bird watching. I will try to find out if there is anything to look at here and not a rabbit hole I am going down before posting any more findings.

Now his recent neighbours are speaking out. Seems he was always washing his car, going out at 2am - 3am in the morning in his car, never made eye contact with folk and the window blinds stayed shut for the entire time he lived in Heathfield, which where he was arrested. I wonder if he still carried on with the prowling?
