Sure, but 3 months he spent there was enough time?

I think we were still in lockdown until about 10th May - and by that time I think it's safe to assume Arthur’s living hell was well under way. I can't see either of them, but especially ET, being bothered if the poor boy has a soft bed by this point - if ever

Camp bed is a disaster for a backbone/spine.

I'm sure the time length for Arthur sleeping on the floor was stated during ET or THs time in the witness box. I'm at work so can't search the Birmingham Live thread, it takes ages to load but scroll back far enough and it will be there. Arthur spent the last 5 or 6 weeks of his life in the isolation hall area from morning to night. I'm sure sleeping on the living room floor would follow a similar time frame

I wonder what the delay is.

She can’t have attempted suicide can she?
She said was present in court on Monday when the judge adjourned the trial saying they were sending her to hospital
She was in the dock until the afternoon break. So it’s very doubtful she attempted suicide.

We don’t even know for sure if she was taken to hospital for mental or physical health reasons.

Or mabye she had some mental crisis?
This trial is already overdue.
I wonder about Jury and their jobs, their bosses might get impatient.

She could have but it could equally have been a physical problem.
She will have been searched before leaving prison and searched on her way into court, so her chances of attempting suicide or harming herself are slim.

I hope you are right!
I just want this nightmare to end with suitable sentences!

Our real character is exposed in the "hour of trial".
Earlier he lived under parental wings (in their garden) and only played a daddy.
In ET's house he was on his own as a father.

You can't sack someone in the UK if they're on jury duty

Abuse and coercive control can massively change a persons character.

I guess to some extent, yes.
Could anyone make me to cause my family suffering?
Well, I would die for my family.

I think some people can put on a mask for others to see them differently. Everyone always thought my mother was a sweet church-going saint, but they would have been shocked to see the monster she really was behind closed doors. You never know with people. ET brought out the monster in him but perhaps he was never as loving as they thought he was.

So, when is the trial resuming?
Tomorrow?
Next week?
I guess nobody knows.

Birmingham Live says 10:30AM tomorrow but if it's a fluid situation, who knows?

How did the social worker miss that?! How?!

Another thing is I think he knew things weren’t right, and that’s why he asked the Social Worker to meet in a car park, the social worker said it had to be house. But really, the social worker should have arranged a time to talk to him on his own or asked why he wanted to meet in a car park…that would ring alarm bells for me. It’s possible that he would have confided more that he needed help if he was talking on his own without ET knowing he was meeting the SW. He has said in court that he spoke to gps and school, this is what makes me think he thought it was actually discipline and not the terrible abuse it was . I think that he tried to act ‘manly’ as if he was in control of his life when he wasn’t really, no home of his own, lockdown forcing him out of work...he saw any caring intentioned conversations as criticism. I think it’s really very sad because to me he doesn’t appear to have much intelligence,it’s stated that he hated school, likes simple things in life such as football, collecting stickers and PlayStation. This makes me think he was more like a teenager in his mind-very easily manipulated. I think ET would have alienated him by saying she’s ‘on his side and he’s right’ and the National lockdown exasperated it by him not being able to see friends to say “that doesn’t sound right mate, you need to leave that one” and the friends probably would have pointed out he wasn’t disciplining his son in an acceptable and normal way. The lockdown had a lot to do with it I think, if they moved in together during a normal year with Arthur at school it’s possible that this wouldn’t have happened as ET wouldn’t have the chance for her influence to go unnoticed. Not making excuses or defending him, he is definitely guilty of 4 counts of cruelty, but I do think by what I’ve read in the daily transcripts, if he hadn’t of met her he wouldn’t be an abuser

The social worker really sounds like she shouldn’t be a social worker anymore. Missing bruises, not talking to the children alone individually. Ignoring the red flags of TH asking to meet away from the house.
