Do you have a link to the information about evidence being struck from the record?
I'm at work just now, will find and post when I'm at home. About 10 tonight once I'm organised

I had to go to Cranmore this evening for work, I had to drive down Cranmore Road to get to where I needed to go. The house has all red helium heart balloons tied to the conifers outside, it’s all boarded up. I said a little prayer driving past…just heartbreaking to think of the cruelty that happened in it

So many personality similarities between ET and Letitia Stauch - who, incidentally, tried to refuse to appear in court, over little Gannon’s murder.

She has had the opportunity to defend herself in court, and has done so (badly), so they can’t claim that a verdict would be reached without her right to a defence. I’d be surprised if her evidence would be wiped as suggested. Unless it is professionally determined she was mentally incapable at the time of giving evidence?

@Nikynoo, do you have any insight re what happens if the defendant fails to return to court after giving evidence (we don’t know if it is illness, or refusal or what) - does the trial continue in absentia?

eta I guess there could be an issue re her not being able to direct her barrister for remainder of trial & participate in her defence that way. Depends why she’s absent I suppose - voluntary/involuntary.

Did the neighbours give testimony in Court?
I remember TH said the wall between 2 places was "paper thin".

Her being admitted to hospital seems to mean health problems.
Physical or mental is anybody's guess.

OK, this isn't the exact same one I first checked. The other one has a paywall so I only got to check it once. I didn't think to take a screenshot
This link basically says the same thing I found in the first one. What do you think?
Strike Out Applications (no claim, abuse of process, delay and next steps)
That's not applicable to criminal cases - see the part that says "Civil Procedure Rules"

Basically she's given her evidence already and there's no basis for it to be struck out. As elliefant says, the only part she would be needed for (at the present time) is to instruct her legal team with regard to TH's witnesses, if he brings any.

Ah OK! My bad!
Scottish Courts don't have civil procedure rules hence my confusion

They must have, surely, it's for civil disputes like money claims.

It’s all phrased differently so I can understand the confusion. Speaking of Scots law I think Hughes would get the not proven verdict if he was tried up here.

I wonder does it have to stay empty until after the trial or is it just nobody wants to live there now.

It depends on the case, what's involved and what court it's tried in.

Thankyou for posting this, I find the differences in Scottish and English laws very confusing

I thought this too. Saw a pic with the windows boarded up. I don't think I'd be able to go out the front door without imagining Arthur standing or sitting there

If the daily mails reporting is accurate, then the cctv and audio of Arthur crying “no one loves me” was at the same time.

Yesterday, heart-wrenching CCTV emerged showing the emaciated youngster, whose pyjamas appear to be hanging off him, grimace in pain as he tries to pick up his cover and special Avengers pillow.

In the haunting video, filmed just hours earlier on June 16 and shown to the court yesterday, the tragic boy is seen struggling to stand before slumping to the floor of the living room.

Arthur cries 'no one loves me' four times as he struggles to walk to the other side of the room while appearing to be suffering from a limp.

Following on from that, it also states:

On Tuesday jurors were played the CCTV footage of Arthur struggling to move his duvet after being forced to sleep in the living room for the fifth day in a row.

The photo of Arthur's bruised shoulder that authorities 'ignored' | Daily Mail Online

The jurors only saw this cctv the same day we did? Could it be this cctv that has caused ETs mysterious illness, as in, seeing in black and white, how destroyed Arthur was merely hours before he died at her hands? Could it be due to the fact that ET now knows that the game is up and that Arthur’s misery is now visually there for the world to see? Just me musing…..
The Independent are reporting that ETs audio clips and the living room cctv were filmed at the same time

Doesnt it belong to the city as a council house?
I think many single mums or other families in need are waiting in long queue for accommodation.

I don’t know..it’s a social housing house so it would be a family that would be offered it, I don’t know if many would want to live there, like you, I think it would be hard not to think of the suffering.
The area is very convenient as it has very good primary and secondary schools and it’s 5 mins walking distance to a huge Sears retail park with huge stores like M&S, Next, tk max, Boots, Smyths etc . For social housing, it’s a really good area to be offered so maybe there will some families that will want to try their hardest to try forget what went on it and turn it in to a house full of love.

Yes!
Home is atmosphere, family and love - not bricks and mortar.

Oh my god, i really hope that is not true, she is beyond evil. But it is building a stronger case against her i suppose, as only a total monster would record an audio instead of trying to help Arthur

This is probably a stupid question but would TH and ET have access to phones in the holding place they are in before they get sentenced?
