A missing Solihull teen didn't come home from a solo bike ride on Saturday (July 24) night, say police.

Charlie Johnson went out around 7.15pm in the evening, and hasn't been seen again almost 24 hours later.

Solihull Police say that the 17 year old is considered vulnerable, and that his parents are worried about his wellbeing.

Charlie is described as being 5ft 8in and slim, with short brown hair and stubble.

Police said he was wearing a a black Everlast top and white Adidas shorts, and was riding a grey/red electric Carrera mountain bike.

He was also wearing a grey/black cycle helmet and carrying a grey backpack.

Solihull Police posted on social media: "Can you help us find Charlie Johnson?

"We’re really worried about him, as are his family, after he went out for a bike ride around 7.15pm last night (24 July) but hasn’t returned.

"Charlie is 17, he’s from #Solihull and is considered vulnerable.

Police are desperately trying to find a teenager from Solihull who went missing after going on a bike ride.

Solihull Police have issued an appeal to find missing Charlie Johnson.

The 17-year-old went out for a bike ride around 7.15pm on Saturday night (July 24) but hasn’t returned.

Police say he is considered 'vulnerable' and urgently want the public's help to find him.

Police are "really worried" for the safety of a teenager who went for a bike ride and did not return.

Charlie Johnson, from Solihull, has not been seen since 7.15pm on Saturday, July 24, three days after his original disappearance was reported.

Police said the 17-year-old is considered 'vulnerable' and offiicers urgently needed the public's help to find him.

Before his disappearance, he was known to frequent London and Oxford, travelling by train.

We’re sad to say that while we’ve been searching for missing teenager Charlie Johnson, we have found a young man’s body.

Formal identification is yet to take place, but we believe it to be the 17-year old, from Solihull.

We’ve told his family who are devastated. Charlie went missing on 24 July and we’ve been searching for him ever since.

There’s nothing at this time to suggest that his death is suspicious.

The young man’s body was found by officers at 1.24 pm today (Wednesday 28 July). They were searching the area after someone found a bike like Charlie’s nearby.

A stretch of the canal in Finwood in Warwickshire is cordoned off while our investigation continues.

Four days after his disappearance, a young man's body, which is believed to be Charlie, was discovered at 1.24pm on Wednesday, Solihull police confirmed.

A stretch of the canal in Finwood, Warwickshire, has been cordoned off while police continue their investigations.

Officers discovered the body while searching the area after a someone found a bicycle similar to Charlie's nearby.

It is understood that his death is not currently being treated as suspicious and his devastated family have been told.
