kir....if there was a punch up as you describe, it still could be indirectly linked to whoever killed claudia....mayne a dealer beating someone who hasn't paid up

@cortina when you say punch up are you referring to later in the evening on heworth road?

Sorry but for some reason your reply posts are never seen connected to the original post so its a bit confusing.. Is there some reason for this?:)

In my opinion so much of the cctv footage that has been made public has been edited within an inch of its life so its very difficult to get clear continuum of whats happening at any given time and and with who. As Ive said before we should be suspicious of any footage that does not bear a date and time stamp.
I would also like to point out that when police make statements which include 'Possibly' its important that we bear this in mind when processing footage I am particulary making reference to possibly a light coloured ford focus and possibly carrying a bag its important not just to lock onto these as facts but only to consider them.

On the Alleyman's return walk we have been told he is possibly carrying a bag but from my analysis he actually has arm around someone either around their shoulders or possibly in a neck hold a agree the hesitant stop is most likely to avoid the male in the light coloured coat as he passes the movement suggested as searching in is pocket or for his phone is I believe a reajustment of his hold on the restrained person and is probably because he is trying to get away. The struggle/scuffle continues until they get to the corner of the street where a second person comes into frame at this point the alleyman and the second person can be seen carrying the person in what I would discribe a stretcher hold (a legs and arms carrying hold) as they disappear around the corner. This could of course this could have been someone struggling with a drunk friend but given the police interest in the footage and the question on the footage being asked 'what is he doing' it could possibly be something more serious.
From what I can make out he restrained person is a male.

Was this male someone who was needed out of the way that evening and that was the purpose of Alleymans walk in and out?

MOO
@keep-it-real Have NYP commented on your CCTV footage analysis or given you any feedback yet?

@Acb Murders I sumitted what I believe is a lead for Tang Hall Man which I was told was worth pursuing .. The process going forward with that was explained to me. A murder in York this year required them quite rightly to focus on that which as held things up so I can only wait, they say patience is a virtue.
I also submitted my thoughts on breaking car. Im waiting on a response for that also.

I know from my initial conversation from Cold Case that they have been overwhelmed with cctv footage.
I think they want names.
I think CCTV is window of opportunity to for us to be able to do this, give them what they want identify people/vehicles so this is where I concentrate my efforts

I used the NYP alleyman footage PJ You can Find it on Youtube
.. adjust the settings as I suggested before when viewing it def helps as you will be viewing it numerous times
I use Movavi editor to pick out the detail exposure contrast shadow brightness saturation and highlights
I’m sorry I’ve seen this clip many many times as is without any enhancement. All I see is this guy walking by himself towards the back of cl house then returns... by himself back to probably her front door. Was he captured outside her house by any of the buses going past her house up to and including the last bus that we know about ?

I did explain PJ that the cctv footage that has been made public has obviously been edited. You need to take that footage and look at it in detail meticulously frame by frame by using the tools I suggested you can capture some of the images that had been obscurred or appear to be missing. Its a lot of work hours. I use a laptop if you use a mobile I doubt you will be able to to do this.

I would add that we dont know how of even if these people are connected.
But Im guessing the police do.

It must be painstaking work @keep-it-real I’ve got no expertise in this area but I admire those like you who can do this. And I hope NYP appreciate it!

The old boy is deceased, unfortunately, afaik. Hopefully police asked him, when there was still time ....
I think news of TW's death might be premature.

I know his wife passed away in a nursing home in 2015 but she was a few years older than her husband. There is no obituary for TW in the local papers; only reports of a different TW who lived in South Yorks. and was the victim of a brutal attack.

My money is on 'our' TW living out his twilight years in a safe haven away from the Heworth mafia.

I don't we should leap to conclusions regarding the lack of timestamps on cctv. Very early on in the case, the police revealed that there were problems with the accuracy of time and date stamps on some of the cctv evidence.
On a separate note, I would be only too pleased for NYP to remove the timestamp from the bus footage as it impedes the view at the crucial point - when the bus passes CL's house.

Was problem that the footage they had wasnt actually from the date and time we are led to believe it was?

I would think cctv evidence with date and time stamp would stand up better in court

The bus footage for me is one of the most valuable pieces of cctv because we have date and time stamps, what we could possibly uncover from it could be discounted in court if the these were missing

That is the impression I got; he moved away !

And who bought his house!

The cctv footage has been released so the public may assist with identification. Our job is to accept the info provided regarding time and dates on face value and name those individuals. Time/date stamps will be restored for court evidence but that's not our concern is it? There will be other cctv evidence provided which is being held back. Also there are other ways of establishing time in the morning cctv clips e.g. whether the sun has risen over the rooftops on H Rd.

If we want to help with this case, we need to identify the individuals and where relevant, identify other activities going on in the clips provided. It would really help if police could release a version of the bus clip minus the timestamp details so images are clearer, but I understand this may not be possible.

It’s a shame innocent people are not brave enough or not aware they need to come forward because most people can spot themselves on cctv no matter how blurry the image is unless ofcours They are drunk

I spotted myself on cctv from 8 years ago and someone I know ...unfortunately....appeared in a police photofit...I didn't know it was him they were looking for and I was surprised how easy it was. to recognise him.

sorry if my posts have been confusing...ill try to reform

I bet we are all a bit frustratedly this morning because many of our posts have been deleted as a consequence of an original post having been deleted .
But some responses like KIR’s strong request for cold Case to update their website are spot on and should be repeated .
Also it was said that a key player in the case was getting info from people ( Vicky’s post ?) which she in return forwarded it to Dai Malyn and he forwarded to cold case .
I suggested to cut the chain even more by people going DIRECT to cold case .
Are people resending old info because they believe they have been ignored in the past ?Are they passing info via other people ( to use them as witnesses ) because they lost faith in the police ?
