I bet we are all a bit frustratedly this morning because many of our posts have been deleted as a consequence of an original post having been deleted .
But some responses like KIR’s strong request for cold Case to update their website are spot on and should be repeated .
Also it was said that a key player in the case was getting info from people ( Vicky’s post ?) which she in return forwarded it to Dai Malyn and he forwarded to cold case .
I suggested to cut the chain even more by people going DIRECT to cold case .
Are people resending old info because they believe they have been ignored in the past ?Are they passing info via other people ( to use them as witnesses ) because they lost faith in the police ?
It is frustrating pj, what do you mean by key player getting information- Direct to Dai instead of the cold case team? and has a request for updated information been asked on here or to the CC team themselves as it’s typically Neil who responds x

So presume closes over behind her, snd if I’m I would think that she did not chublock from the inside until late, so presumably testing to see and wether in or out !

one of the frustrations I have had with the police since ive started posting here is that their statement makes the general public think that, unless Claudius friends spill the beans, there's not a chance of solving the case....and, thus, I think, a lot of people switch off.

I think that, although its certainly true that their speaking up would be the most helpful thing we could hope for, analysis of. the cctv footage of claudia returning from her job, shows that other people probably also had parts to play and they, or people close to them, could also be helpful.

I think some of their relatives have probably been in denial...they maybe know that they are involved in drugs and have an uncomfortable feeling in the back of their minds that they could have had something to do with Claudius disappearance.

drug dealing can be seen as a very anonymous crime...its a different kettle of fish when you have access to someones life, as we have with claudia.

it may be that, drip by drip, someones conscience may. be pricked or a relative may be prompted to try and face the facts.

thats why I wish the police would keep sending out appeals to the public.

the cold case team. may feel they're wading through piles of irrelevance when they're reading this. thread but it should be part of their duties to do a quick check...there might be something that is. more useful than we think it is

Why local ?
Jumping in, but IMO local because -

They would know CL's routine
They would know her route
They would know her car is in the shop
They wouldnt look out of place
They would be protected by other locals

You’re welcome to jump in but my question was directed at vixey.
Why does it has to be local just because a empty packet of embassy cigarettes was thrown into her front yard ?

Possibly that embassy smoker frequented often prior if that was to be linked to them, and had read friends from other areas had not visited in the weeks prior! Who dumps a box and nub at your front door, so rude :)

If a person is capable of murder he / she won’t necessarily hesitate not to litter
Btw people often graduate to murder !

Was the owner of the Mondeo one of the two that had affairs with CL or not ?
It’s sounds that some exaggerations are going on here .

@Vixey are you sure the litter is an Embassy cigarette packet? I tried checking the screenshot you posted out its from Google street walk 2008 isnt it.. but I cant see it looks like an Embassy cigarette packet.. Do you have a clear shot of it at all?

We know the police initially missed the cigarette butt in CL's car.
We have never been told wether they searched the area on melrosegate bridge where she was seen to be talking to a left handed smoker for a disguarded cigarette butt.
With that in mind did they also miss the opportunity to collect cigarette butts/packets or even discarded chewing gum and litter from the pavements outside of her house these might provide vital clues of people who may have been outside her house on the days leading up to her disappearance or the evening of the 18th and morning of the 19th

The trouble has always been her going missing not murdered in the beginning

@Vixey Earlier in this year I did suggest to Cold Case that updates to the NYP website would be much appreciated by the public it was explained to me that NYP isnt responsible for the website. I said I hoped my suggestion would be passed on which Im sure it was.
Has anyone noticed and updates on it yet?

@Vixey Bear in mind that an empty packet of cigs could easily have been carried there by the wind. I find all sorts outside my front door sometimes...

with regard to the discarded cigarette packet, or whatever it is, its not necessarily littering.

its sometimes a trick by criminals in this neck of the woods, for locals to do something like this, to mark out for non locals when someone is out etc so when they come to sweep the area, they know when no one is in.

it may just be that this was left as a signal by a local to signal to someone from. outside that this was Claudius house...I know its speculative, but I think Claudius. disappearance was carried out by locals and non l0cals.....or maybe someone just threw it there.

cats and dogs can also take a liking to things and carry them around before dumping them somewhere

But the point is you wouldnt dismiss it would you.. Its outside a persons house who is presumed murdered.
You photograph it you log its location and you fingerprint and DNA it.
