Iirc Claudia worked at some point for the Nags head doing the menus.
I thought of a wealthy enough friend/acquaintance perhaps from pub (or University?) and catering for a private event at home.

wonder if she was on the phone to him and he announced that he was on her street, the witness said she didn't look very pleased, but who would
don't forget she would have had time to dye her hair in the afternoon when she got home from work, was the dye used does anyone know or was it set out ready for use , perhaps she mixed it and decided to have an afternoon nap and couldn't be bothered, who knows xx
I'm rather sure, his surprise was to call on her phone while walking towards her green door, telling her in the last second to be at Heworth and not only at Heworth but .....; she opened the door and - fanfare!!! :fireworks: - there he stood!
That would do younger enamored men, I would say.
If he was a surprise visitor from elsewhere maybe she let him stay at her house - maybe he dyed his hair while she was at work? Maybe the cctv clip man-who-pauses was checking who was at her house and at what times (this has been said before) but on behalf of someone else? Maybe Claudia was not alive when the hair dye was used? (just possibilities)
This article from 2013 implies that the Nags Head circle extends to Cyprus http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/38...id-not-come-to-Cyprus-4-years-ago-insist-pals
I always assumed that texts with the Cyprus friend were sent to someone she had not seen for a while and that he was in Cyprus at the time. Maybe she had seen him very recently? Maybe he or one of his friends was still in the UK? Quote from article: "Shortly before Claudia vanished Robbie and three other friends came to the UK to pick up four vans, which they drove to Italy before putting them on ships for the sea trip to Cyprus." Why can't he remember the content of his texts to Claudia - I certainly would.
The article quotes ex boyfriend: "the answer to the mystery lies in Cyprus and has claimed she had many male friends on the island." which seems to contradict statements by the Cyprus dwellers in the same article.
My gut feeling is that the hair dye photos were staged by the Police to get a reaction out of someone.
An aside:
The case struck a chord with me from the beginning, just because my interpretation is that Claudia seems to have been living a life that many women find themselves in around that age (rumours aside, which I don't believe) - single, independent, working, outwardly confident, niceness gets confused with flirtatiousness, directionless but looking for a direction, making big mistakes, and not imagining for a moment that any harm would come to her.
It must be so hard for her family and friends to read all the stuff that has been published. I feel a bit weird making brutal speculations about a young woman who was a much loved daughter and friend and I really hope that for their sake there is resolution. Me - I suppose I want to know how something that should not have happened did happen, and that those responsible are caught.

''The witness recalled that the man was talking animatedly on his mobile phone and was laughing. As he walked along he appeared to be looking for a particular house.
As the man approached a house with a green door, a house which the witness is certain was Claudia's, the door opened and a woman of similar description to Claudia emerged also on her phone.
The woman appeared shocked at seeing the man. The witness formed the opinion that they were known to each other and he had surprised her with a visit'
Do we ascertain then that NYP haven't got this persons number, they have Claudia's phone records, they should have an idea who she was speaking to. So, they may have the number but it wasn't the man who was at the door, which would suggest he wasn't talking to her as he approached the door. So was he talking to somebody else who was directing him to a green door? ...Questions, questions, questions.
........ or NYP aren't searching any longer but we fools on WS?

What about this and the plan, the "psycho" (retired electrical engineer) had drawn (a building with garage; 2 cars, 1 perhaps driving in with Claudia, 1 pulling out with Claudia, 2 different drivers)???
I think they are just waiting for 1 call, I think it will come, but it may be sometime.
