Iirc Claudia worked at some point for the Nags head doing the menus.

I thought of a wealthy enough friend/acquaintance perhaps from pub (or University?) and catering for a private event at home.

I'm rather sure, his surprise was to call on her phone while walking towards her green door, telling her in the last second to be at Heworth and not only at Heworth but .....; she opened the door and - fanfare!!! :fireworks: - there he stood!

That would do younger enamored men, I would say.

MY hair colour has to be used immediately, if already mixed. Leftovers one has to discard and to store by no means.

If he was a surprise visitor from elsewhere maybe she let him stay at her house - maybe he dyed his hair while she was at work? Maybe the cctv clip man-who-pauses was checking who was at her house and at what times (this has been said before) but on behalf of someone else? Maybe Claudia was not alive when the hair dye was used? (just possibilities)

I always assumed that texts with the Cyprus friend were sent to someone she had not seen for a while and that he was in Cyprus at the time. Maybe she had seen him very recently? Maybe he or one of his friends was still in the UK? Why can't he remember the content of his texts to Claudia - I certainly would.

The article quotes ex boyfriend: "the answer to the mystery lies in Cyprus and has claimed she had many male friends on the island." which seems to contradict statements by the Cyprus dwellers in the same article.

My gut feeling is that the hair dye photos were staged by the Police to get a reaction out of someone.

An aside:
The case struck a chord with me from the beginning, just because my interpretation is that Claudia seems to have been living a life that many women find themselves in around that age (rumours aside, which I don't believe) - single, independent, working, outwardly confident, niceness gets confused with flirtatiousness, directionless but looking for a direction, making big mistakes, and not imagining for a moment that any harm would come to her.

It must be so hard for her family and friends to read all the stuff that has been published. I feel a bit weird making brutal speculations about a young woman who was a much loved daughter and friend and I really hope that for their sake there is resolution. Me - I suppose I want to know how something that should not have happened did happen, and that those responsible are caught.

I doubt she would have done that only for the reason that when people were coming forward with info on Claudia somebody would have said so. Same for working for pin money doing people's hair at home, somebody would have given an interview to the press (folk love to be seen to be helping)

Just to add that Claudia's life appears to have been cruelly taken from her and from those who loved her and... its a terrible thing to wish for...I would like those who did it or who know about it to suffer for the rest of their lives, just as those who knew Claudia are suffering.

So why would Claudia have opened the door while on her phone and why would she have been frightened at the sight of the man? If both, Claudia and the unknown man ended their cellphone calling at this moment, it seems they indeed were the 2 phone partners. Unfortunately the witness didn't tell that detail, I think.

The man had a not bulging backpack with him, therefore I think, he wasn't somebody from far away (ie Cyprus) but possibly from York. Only my thoughts.

One thought more: The older grey haired man who was arrested and released on bail, may have a son aged ca 25-30 ......

Furthermore, sources close to the Lawrence family, were concerned that drivers who had used the Shell garage around the time she went missing, which is on the route where the suspected abduction took place were being contacted through credit cards receipts nine months or so after her disappearance.

One reportedly said: “I have been waiting for you to call by”. Again, when I put this to North Yorkshire police they did not give an explanation.

I have a theory, which unfortunately I can't share fully, that the 'retired engineer' wasn't remote viewing but was familiar with the key player's names from the Nags head. Imo, he used his computer skills to formulate what might have happened to Claudia.

Hopefully. Perhaps when someone involved just doesn't want to live with the secret any more. Or breaks away from the person who is influencing him or her to keep the secret. Or even perhaps when a child reaches an age when they start to question past events. Or when that clue is found that scares them into thinking they will be found out.

If someone who knows something were to tell perhaps I would be prepared to un-wish eternal suffering on them.
