@Spy Versus Spy I wasn't sure about the evening of 18th activity and still am not completely. It could have been something to do with a key left in a known place for "Invited" to let themselves in.In the morning it may have been about putting the key back. @Pinkizzy has also referred to a possible key exchange / pick up. Perhaps other Sleuths have a view on Dark Man's reason for being there.
@Pinkizzy I have always been amazed by the accuracy of Police info about Acomb area and the phone connecting to a network there. My understanding about her phone activity was that Police could only detect her movements on 18 /19th within a 9 mile radius of UNI. As someone has already previously said-Acomb is in that 9 mile radius and so I suspect again Police had some suspicions at the time of the Pub in Acomb, perhaps landlord at The Acomb, Now ClockHouse when interviewed mentioned that she was in Pub a week before she went missing. I don't believe that she was in Acomb when she went "missing". She thought she was safe with friends and hence her relaxed demeanour when talking to her Mum and Dad that evening.
Did the first of the 4 arrested, a few days before the others provide the Alibi. Perhaps not involved with the other 3 but asked to alibi. When interviewed and with a possible charge of Perverting the Course of Justice, did he open up. This lead to alley being searched and then other 3 arrested?

I am going to go out there and declare my thoughts.
Please forgive me if I am wrong but I have spent 24 hours a day of the last 7 looking into this case. I am not wrong:
CL had some friends around on the night of 18th.
2 males and including her 2 females.
Like all of us we like to behave like humans but weall have desires and so something took place.
Claudia knew them all and they were friends from the Nags Head.
It is likely that some were already in a relationship but today desire overrules this.
Some have since come out and declared friendship towards her.
Something went wrong.
Claudia was probably asphyxiated (No blood loss DNA) and so the 3 left were all bonded together to resolve what was a very difficult and "Complex" situation.
They were all implicated and so are unlikely to ever individualy come out and admit anything.
They had to dispose of the body.
There was an empty property to the rear of Claudia's house.
There was a car park with cars and a shed in the Nags Head Car Park.
All were all accessible from the alleyway behind her house.
The CCTV images were of the clean up and the Perps were on CCTV.
Watching out for each other they disposed of poor Claudia and then became the grieving friends who are bonded by something they all accidentally did.

Please forgive me but I am not basing my findings solely on this book.
Sometimes we love people, they are our friends and we have their backs but when it all goes "Up" We group and protect one another.
I do hope that one day, one of the Perps will get a conscience and come forward. But until then, let's not blame the Police.
They know what happened they will have had the conversations with the Perps but they cant progress the case.
Finally, there was a female not arrested and charged as one of the 4 , I don't know why but she knows who she is and should come forward.

The fence in this photo posted by @moonsafari was from photos taken in 2015 and shown in Daily Mirror and as can be seen, Claudia's fence is very new. I suspect that Police suggested that Family of CL had this constructed to keep Nosey Parkers out of Crime Scene. The Photo I just posted is from Google closer to time of Incident.
In my shot the fence if any is old and we cant see if there is a gate. In the Daily Mirror more recent shot it shows fence is fairly new-Certainly not very old as wood has not yet discoloured

Yes they did..... I believe they lived opposite to her.
The police put out an alert. They must have had a reason for this. The owner identified their vehicle. I'm just adding it to the things to consider.
