One of the building sites that one of the men worked at, most likely. For years locals have said "under the university" but I don't know if there's a direct link between those arrested and the uni expansion at the time.

Unless a DNA match turns up for the cig butt in Claudia's car, or someone caves and snitches, or gets old/ill and blurts it out, I don't know if it'll ever be solved. Would love to know what the police have on it but I bet they're stewing that they can't proceed.
@CoverMeCagney An interesting post on Facebook which was an appeal to DS Malyn of NYP MCU on June 23rd 2015 as follows:

This is the letter that Taj wrote to the police,Taj has been a helpful and devoted member of this group for some years now.. Tajinder Kaur

"Dear Detective Superintendent Dai Malyn,

My name is Tajinder Parmar, I have have been a member of the page set up for Claudia since the beginning of the case.

I'm sorry to have to write to you but I was hoping you could justify why the suggestions of searching the university's science block are being ignored? The foundations of the building were filled in on the morning that Claudia would have left for work, surely this is something that should be pursued?

I have no personal link to Claudia but it has been 6 years with no answers for her family and friends. I know for a fact that Claudia's friends approached Detective Superintendent Ray Galloway with their concerns and pleaded with him to have the foundations checked to be told 'it's now a science block'.

I and the fellow members of the group are not suggesting an invasive search, we are suggesting using Ground Penetrating Radar systems which as you may know can pick up any disturbances in the foundations"
END
Very interesting???

Thanks PJ
That's great. It isn't specific as to if they used it at Uni though and I do know that there were some people on Facebook who worked at uni up in arms about not exploring.
You see, universities have so much power they could have objected. Let's be honest their reputation was already in tatters
Not safeguarding Claudia by not reporting to her next of kin she was missing after 48 hours
Employing AC who was one of POIs
And now this
Her is the press article link for you

did the uni employ AC? I know they employed MS, but AC also?

Last evening I started again on thread one. I agree with (i think it was @dotr) that perhaps the hair straighteners were used as a murder weapon. IMO if Claudia was planning to use them at work, she may have had a love interest there. If Claudia was planning on going somewhere other than home straight after work (and remember she finished about 2pm), then I cannot see why she would not also take her bank card. I, like @dotr, am wondering whether the Hair Straighteners were the murder weapon. If they were lent to a friend, then I cannot see why that friend has not advised the police. Unless, of course, they have something to hide.

I was advised by another WS member a while ago and Cooper appeared in their website listed by email but had now been removed as he no longer works there
Was he working there at the same time as Claudia? What type of role? Management? How much influence would he have? Also, are you/your source sure that this is accurate?
ETA - I think i have found what I was looking for, but a little more background would be helpful

We have said on here before that perhaps she was dying another girls hair that night there was an argument and she was strangled by the hair straighteners.
The other female would need some men to dispose of Claudia hence the others

It says above that Cooper appeared in their website listed by email. Can the public access the email list or is it only available to students and staff?
