You won’t necessarily unless you are involved in this type of lifestyle as it tends to be an underground type of activity from my experience ( in attendance of such as an undercover officer)
I stand corrected and her friends did say she behaved differently when drunk .

Who knows if he had reason to lie but considering how huge this enquiry quickly became then I find it hard to believe that he merely forgets about a new boyfriend on the scene who she was with until the early hours???
He would have known how important thus was because of all the press coverage yet he waits a year ?
It depends how thoroughly the first interview was performed .If the good/ bad cop was not balanced the witness could easily forget things .
And if you are reading this can you shed a bit more light on her ‘ new ‘ boyfriend ?
This last question was not meant for you Angleterre.

It happened in 2003 believe it or not and I was in hospital for a week with a suspected broken back BUT because I was very fit and ran marathons, the Drs said that my fitness saved me and they merely x rayed me ( no MRI) and I was released with soft tissue damage as my diagnosis. Over the next 5 years until June 2008 ( happened June 2003) I struggled with back pain and had to take more and more pain relief until it got to the stage where I could hardly walk . Anyway, I got up to go to work in June 08 and fell to the floor, paralysed.
Medical diagnosis was spinal cord compression- the jelly substance in my discs L1-5 had come out and had wound itself around my spinal cord, compressing it and causing nerve damage. So 16 years of pain .
I was retired in 2010 after 22.5 years service and I was devastated but I am very lucky because I can walk and I get a police medical pension so that I can stay home with my children and watch them grow up, they were 18 months old twins when I was paralysed.
So I am very lucky really albeit I miss it tremendously even now x
You should specialise in cold cases? This one can be your starting point :)

I cannot believe that her family and friends and colleagues are not here listening at least if not contributing.
Question for them : Have you been warned ,adviced, or otherwise not to go on this or any cl website by the police ?
And if you were does it still apply 10 years later ?

Could she have mentioned him by name?
Could she have been giving information just in case !
And the recipient of that text would probably / maybe be known to the person holding her phone !
Please someone put the article live on here for me !

Did Claudia have a secret police lover?

Aparantly she was not dating any known person at time of disappearance
It was however reported a year after her disappearance by a work colleague that he forgot to tell Galloway when interviewed at time of her mentioning a New boyfriend who she had been out with all night until 4 am on 18th March.
We don't know who they are and they haven't come forward as far as we know
Galloway was very annoyed about this late report
It is possible that the colleague was doing it a year later knowing that she was unlikely to turn up and challenge his story
Do we know for sure if this colleague was male or female? There is some very sloppy newspaper reporting out there and I have read the word 'she' in the context of this particular development but wasn't sure if this was accurate. A male colleague would bring a different perspective imo.
My second thought was, if it was a female colleague, was she protecting CL's honour in the knowledge that she had also been engaged in a long term relationship?

Does this colleague have any reason to lie ?
She might have said things in confidence and “...I’m sure she’ll turn soon ....”
Even her mother kept saying things like .”I believe Claudia was still alive “
I asked this question before :why did the police search her mother’s garden ?
Do you have a link for this please?

What do we know about Claudia's character?

If we accept the established view that Claudia had numerous secret partners, some of them married, was she discreet? Did she ever blurt out fragments when drunk?

I read in other places that people who Claudia had been involved had marriages break down - did Claudia disclose or threaten to disclose any of her relationships to any partners?

I suspect this may have happened. Her friend J-en K-ing said she would frequently lose her discretion and check 'the morning after' what she might have said. The weekend before her disappearance was a drunken weekend according to JK followed by an unusual avoidance of the pub in the following days. Was that because of her new boyfriend or was she avoiding someone?
