The Police acted fast probably because Lucy Pope was a friend of cl. Also her father Peter was a police prosecutor.I would have thought that they ( the police ) would look after him like he was a judge or something.

The impression I got reading Moonsafari's blog was that the people she asked were regulars who would previously engage in a bit of light gossip on what was, let's face it, a massive local interest story focusing on the very place where she worked and they spent many spare hours. To clam up and say nothing alludes to either 1) being threatened or, in the case of those who were extremely close to the case, 2) blocking any further discussion. I sensed the latter but perhaps Moonsafari could elaborate further?

I have also followed the case for 10 years. So why would the new police be clever to visit you? Do you have information that could advance the investigation?
