I just remembered this is a Nightingale Court. Hopefully they wrap up the trial before Aldersgate closes!

Perhaps there wouldn't be such a backlog in the courts if they could bring themselves to work five day weeks like the rest of us!

I'm not sure that's fair - these were extras set up after all, it's not as if a backlog worsened and they just let it fester. There's (I think?) six Nightingale Courts specifically set up to help combat the COVID backlog. That's a lot of people working additional days in those locations! :)

Clearly he is an abuser and she is mentally ill. They are both accountable for the death of the baby. Interesting though how she is demonised and he is not. I do wonder if this have happened if she never met him? She’s stll abhorrent but the hate should also be directed at him

What on earth is going on?
Yes, what on earth is going on? This all seems very similar to the last trial where there were massive gaps.

I am deleting this, because Court Serve are still showing Trial Part Heard and I trust their info over the What's On Website.

Finally! I wonder how long they've been deliberating for. The reporting has been abysmal this time round.

I have deleted my post - reason as above.

Agree re the reporting, it has been dire.

Is it possible the reporting has been dire due to reporting restrictions ?

I think it has been because it is the second trial. The reporting has been good when something new has happened - MG appearing in his own defence / the new tent temperature witness / the reporting of previous convictions which was not allowed to be included last time, for example.

I’ve been wondering if delays are due to MG representing himself and being incapable of complying with timing and procedure.

MG strategy of delays will cause jurors to drop out because of summer commitments?

Hopefully the jury are now out or due to be out very soon ,so no more chance of either of them disrupting proceedings.
