And what about the Flex connection? Is that still "on" or has it been debunked?
JMO but I think the Flex/So Bar/Unique Bars potential links are far from debunked.

Oh I dunno, maybe, I'm losing strength with this case and perhaps not following as much as I should....
So... why search now? Tip off? Evidence? Run out of other things to do?
I watched a tv program about him a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was interesting from the point of view that as the perp he thought he was invincible! I think they made a tv documentary instigated by him, as he was that sure they'd never pin it on him? I know this is quite common with the perps that can't stay away from the case (IH being another one) but there doesn't seem anyone obviously doing this in C's case? That we know of anyway! Even with the reward money.

I don't really understand the theories or possible motives and so don't have many comments.
I also read it as this.
I was meaning in another article, I can't find the link but I thought it stated they were going to bring him back for questioning (this is a comment made after the arrest in Gibraltar)

Tis a difficult one to call though imo.
Corrie is a 'missing person', so until such time as LE have enough evidence to believe foul play could be involved in his disappearance I wouldn't expect something like searching landfill to be authorised.
Police investigations are evidence led, but we know zilch about evidence. All we know is that his phone pinged in BM sometime Saturday morning, but that alone surely isn't enough to start searching landfill?
There is much more LE must know by now to do this.
I so hope this landfill search successfully takes this case forward though.
There have certainly been some curious circumstances surrounding those who are shouting this theory the loudest on social media. .
Interestingly, before this search was announced, some of the prominent proponents of the "slept in a bin" theory were hesvily pushing the AWOL theory last week. A possibility of the body being found could help explain a shift in their chosen theory
This one?

And herein lies the problems with rewards etc. we spent our working days with Mitch, I lived around the corner from them, we all socialised with him. But he didn't just pull the wool over the medias eyes, he believed it himself, everyone around him believed it. It horrifies me to think back, but she was portrayed to his work colleagues as a bully and controlling. Nobody would have ever claimed a reward as nobody ever thought he was guilty, he was living the lie, completely. That is why sometimes no matter the reward or incentive, no one reports as people are drawn in to a story, believe their friends side.

See, what I'm confused about is this.... we are told the phone might have gone in the bin lorry as the times matched, we are told this went to a recycling centre and possibly onwards to an incinerator. We are told it's unlikely a body would have gone throgh this process unnoticed.
Ok. All good. Strong chance the phone was in the bin.
Now. The landfill is nothing to do with any of the above. It's not even in the same county. Yet the police / family / landfill owners were aware of the possibility of Corrie / Corrie's things being there, just a few days after he vanished.
Why? Why would an out -of-county landfill be one of the first places earmarked, if the "bin lorry that followed the phone pings" went somewhere entirely different?
If someone can offer any glimmer of an explanation for this I'd be very grateful. I'm finding this case very hard to keep on top of (not to mention frustratingly ridiculous) and am on the verge of finally throwing the towel in.

He may not even be there

There must be other evidence (all the other cctv we have not seen for example) that we are not privy too. The interviews with friends and work colleagues, base cctv, vehicle details, the swinging sites, social media,. other peoples phone data, etc. etc.

Every single update is unclear. Every single one. Times, phones, bins, messages, pings, locations, vehicles, bin lorries, taxis, cyclists, CCTV, incinerators, recycling centres and now landfill. If someone can offer any glimmer of an explanation for this I'd be very grateful. It is a good question. In the first instance I think it would be SOP for the Police to put a hold on the landfill when they found the bin lorry/phone ping connection before they figured it was recycling as a just in case? The question asked would be something like: where does rubbish for landfill from BSE end up? Answer= Milton.
Harder to explain is the Police press release stating nothing has been added to the pile since then. Unless the site operators have used a different hole/section since but that would be a big ask?
I really do think the Police got a forensic hit from testing a general waste bin taken from the second HS behind Mill House during the late January SB search.
