I have never seen ramblers carrying a humungous bag like that. Hikers/campers maybe but ramblers usually just have the stick. I think he is a bag man.

I have for a 'day trip', he may have come for a special event or suchlike and equipped for a day. This age group IMO are very organised in what they take on trips out, maybe a fold up seat, a blanket, wet weather gear, etc My local church very often have Nature Walks, Bird-watching, historical things through out the year. Many of them starting at 6.30am and some through the night, depending on what it is they are doing. I wonder what time the Museum opened on that day as the WW2 exhibition was on at the Museum opposite Mcky D's. Perhaps he had traveled down to exhibit something or was going to set up? A bit random maybe but it would make sense as to why he hasn't been seen since, if he has traveled from another part of the country? MOO

Speaking as a hillwalker/mountain climber/outdoor person I would not view that as suspicious, I certainly cant say that I would look twice at someone dressed in outdoor gear at that time. Regardless of the ramblers meeting at 10am this person might have been going off on their own trek, one that required to leave at such a time. I do photography semi-professionally so I can be up and about even earlier fully kitted to get a sunrise shot. Perhaps they were heading off for some early morning birdwatching, perhaps they were going further afield and in order to be there in good time they were up at 5am, or had they arrived back from a place?

Yeah I don't think it's suspicious either. But it does mean he is probably about to travel in a vehicle or on public transport somewhere (unless he's just returned), as you probably wouldn't start from the town centre, would you? Having no experience of this I'm happy to hear your thoughts.

Hi, 9/10 I usually travel to my destination via vehicle, there is however the odd time I will get a bus/train etc if I am on holiday somewhere or meeting with a group.

Some walks in my area are listed on an online walking website, the starting point for all of them is the local town center, probably for those arriving via bus, train or parking their car.

My main interest was regarding the council bins collected on the Monday. Confirmed as council by Corrie's father.

It was general waste so not subject to pre-sorting according to their response. It would have been incinerated in that case.

The only way that apparently ended up in landfil is if the incinerator wasn't operating (according to their response). But if they aren't including commercial waste then where does that go I wonder. Well, Cambridge it seems!

Its a conundrum for sure how he ended up there, if so little goes there. Wonder if info is available about the incinerator down time? Someone on here said they saw bales of paper at the incinerator site but the FOI seems to indicate they don't recycle there so perhaps they get the bales delivered from WTS around the county to them for incineration too.

True there isn't nothing to stop a car driving down there but why (leaving aside it being illegal) would a car do that? Also it looks to me like the man in the McD's footage is about to undo a chin strap. Could he have arrived there on a bike?

Looks like he has a cycle helmet attached to the top of his backpack.

I am a little puzzled as to why SP are so keen to identify the last two people at around 5am, as if C left in a car earlier, there can't have been much for them to see. It seems to me that car park person is on their way to work and McD man is about to go on a hike with his backpack and what looks to me like a portable chair/stool. Or maybe car park person is going on a hike too as they seem to have a backpack as well. At least they seem to know where they are going, whereas McD looks a little lost and unsure of where he needs to go. I've not been able to find an event on that Saturday that he could have been going to, but maybe he is someone who just likes to go off on his own and perhaps not from the area.

Something SP said yesterday also struck me as a little odd and I quote: "The man is not the driver of the bin lorry which collected refuse from the area where Corrie was last seen..." They've changed the word from 'waste' that they used previously, to being (to my mind more specific) 'refuse'. So, should that be taken to mean that it is not the man who collected the refuse on the Monday? From there, my mind has gone ahead, but I will not say anything further at this point.

"The man is not the driver.........from the area Corrie was last seen" means it's not the recycle lorry driver who left around 04.20. It could be a later bin lorry driver from the Monday SB bins though? I am inclined to think it is the cyclist, taxi driver or suspect vehicle driver however.
Re the two witnesses still to be found then 0500-0520 is not that long after Corrie's phone left BSE so they could well have seen him. Also the time window for the vehicles recently changed from 0300-0500 to 0300-0600 so the time has become more relevant now.

There was a ramblers association walk on the Saturday I believe. A photo was posted on their Facebook page of a lady who looked remarkably like the picture/CCTV of the person I thought was a man! I'm assuming she was ruled out as SP have said we're looking for a man, but there was definitely something on in BSE that day which would account for the outdoor clothing. Will see if I can find the FB page... am I allowed to post a link to it?

I think you're right it is clearest right at the end of the clip - looks like a black cycle helmet.

Ah I didn't follow that link through, but have now. I am guessing that they still would have met at the same place, but gone on to Stowmarket and did a walk round there instead.
I was just looking at some of their photos and the one that is on their homepage has a man on the left that I think looks similar in face to the guy in McD - you need to zoom in a bit to see it.

Without going back to look again, from memory both the 05.01 and 05.20 CSC still showed people going from right to left which would be from H/S.direction.

1. I don't see any evidence of it being a random attack / mugging etc, it just looks to planed to me ,
2. if it was an accident or just a random attack we would have clues like DNA, and with a £50,000 reward up for grabs some one would have spilt the beans, that money would be to tempting to the average low life to resist,
3. so my conclusion is that some one or persons knew what they were doing in a way of planing,
a very well planed murder by people he knew
a very well planed AWOL

the AWOL still makes more sense to me as the people would be more loyal corrie and more unlikely to talk out as the others would,


just my own opinion on how I see things at the moment,

Yes it could but all the vehicle drivers have been spoken to IIRC.

I'm on two minds about a planned disappearing act.

If I was planning to go AWOL I wouldn't do it pissed. I would want a clear head so nothing went wrong. And I wouldn't do it from a town center.
