He is running just before seen on last part of CCTV
And also looks like looking at camera or at something

Maybe he had a little jog to warm himself up after waking up on the cold floor of the doorway?

He was looking around in various directions. I think we surmised that might be because he was planning to pee and wanted to check there was no one looking?

Surely. If you see someone a bit worse for wear rushing into a quiet spec while looking shifty, he's either going to be sick or to "water his horse".
I don't think the two things are mutually exclusive. I would be surprised if there was "foul play" though. Seems more likely to be accident or misadventure.
Almost certainly. Three things led the police to believe he wasn't in the bin:
1. The sorting process would have discovered him
2. The weight of the bin contents being less than Corrie weighed
3. The lack of physical evidence on the bin or the lorry.

As Amonet and you pointed out, we now know 1. and 2. don't apply, and there are scenarios that would mean 3. doesn't apply. Let's face it, had we known this from the start we'd have never contemplated foul play, rather thought this a tragic accident, a rerun of the Garret Elsey incident.

In one of the first updates I thought N said there four vehicles, three of which had good reason to be in the HS but one of them did not.

A couple of things lead me to think foul play cannot be ruled out and these are
1. It's now thought he was in the bin.
2. It's now confirmed that he was running before the final cctv shot.
3. No witnesses appear to have seen him so he must have ended up in that bin pretty quickly.
4. There had been an error and a long delay in the reporting of the correct weight of the bin.
5. It seems C either was missed at the sorting process or went straight to LF.
6. I have seen no evidence C habitually slept in bins.
8. There are still at least 2 vehicles not yet discounted and 2 witnesses not yet traced.
9. SP decided to search LF before the weight error was revealed.

There ars probably more but I think this is enough to still have a suspicion someone else could be involved, even before a body is found. JMO

I disagree as one million pounds of public money is being spent we need answers to these things now. There maybe no body to find, especially as there were no traces found, so no inquest would be held.

This is still an ACTIVE investigation, the Police will know a lot more than any of us and could well be aware of a criminal element involved that they are watching. I completely agree that the Landfill should have been looked at from the moment they saw the phone pinged but they also had credible witnesses who had spoken to Corrie and he had told them he was going to walk home so I can see with the wrong Bin weight has caused a HUGE problem for this case. MOO

Good points.

Do people habitually sleep in bins? Or does their first time by and large end in disaster?

Do you have a link for the credible witnesses that he apparently told that to that night, because I have never seen it despite looking.

I would link to the full DS Katie Elliott landfill interview where she told a BBC reporter that people i.e. more than one, had told the investigation he was walking home. That interview is only available in a cut down 35 second clip now... (this really bothers me!).

If anyone can find that full interview it would be great. It was like 5-7 minutes long IIRC.

If all we have to go on is that split second at the start of the final CCTV clip, I can't conclude from that that he was running. I agree with Amonet that having just woken up, he would have felt cold and stiff so he probably jumped up and down a bit or jogged to the corner.

We don't know the current status of these. [/QUOTE]

I know his family are on record on interview saying he often walked home but that was retracted/changed IIRC. I would like to see a link where witnesses from that night said C had told them he was walking home, if anyone has one.

We don't know the current status of these.

N has now seen the footage prior to the last cctv and did indeed confirm that he was running finally. None of the public has seen that footage.

Re. Your last sentence. Yes I know that's what I have said already.

OK, but it's only a few yards from the Hughes doorway to the corner where we see him, so it seems highly unlikely that he was running away from someone. I still think he would have been trying to loosen up and get warm.

I think altercations usually take a little while to heat up. There was foot traffic past the horseshoe, why didn't anyone notice anything prior to Corrie being injured and placed in a bin?

And it's really difficult to run with your hands in your pockets.

Maybe so but he was running and he is now missing so as no-one knows or saw him again it is unexplained ATM.

Because whatever happened was quick IMO and we don't know all the events of the whole evening.

Evening everyone, I'm new here (new poster, avid reader) so apologies if I am repeating...threads are so indepth. When I first heard about corrie's disappearance, my first thought was terrorism. Quickly ruled out as no group came forward to claim involvement. But then, because I used to live close to BSE, I couldn't help but think how similar the case was to poor Luke Durbin who has been missing since 2006. He vanished in Ipswich, last seen on cctv at around 4am. Looking at the cctv of corrie passing The Grapes, I don't believe he passed out in the doorway. He was steady enough on his feet to bend down, pick something up, and stand up quite quickly again. Someone on the verge of passing out would surely not be able to bend down and stand up so quickly and steadily. The doorway was only a few doors away from the grapes. The doormen outside also show no concern for his condition. But something happened in that doorway, however distressing it's deemed to be, I think perhaps he vomited. People asked if he was okay, if someone was just sat eating, I'd think they were okay. On the second cctv, looking at corrie's body language, I think he is hiding from someone. Initially I thought he was perhaps looking around as if he were meeting someone, but looking at it closely, the way corrie jots into frame then slows and looks around twice, I think he is hiding. Did he upset someone in the doorway, or did someone threaten him? Or give him cause to hide?

He could have been running to meet or catch up with someone, or running to hide from or avoid someone.

N said he only jogged from Greggs (so, like 20-25 metres) and noone was following him. I think he was just busting for a wee.
