I genuinely can't see (even if it was arranged through a phone app like Tndr) a girl or woman of Corries age (23?) walking down a darkened unlit pedestrian zone into an even darker loading bay to meet a stranger near some bins.

Unfortunately I can see this happening. It's the sort of thing I might have done at that age (thankfully apps like that weren't around then!) :blushing:

Another good point. Two burgers, chips and a kebab is A HELL of a lot of food to go to bed on. Could it have actually been several portions (ie for more than one person?). If he's 'walking with purpose' towards the Hughes doorway at 0115 does this suggest he has a portion for the lads or someone else he's meeting?

1 person = kebab (Corrie)
1 person = burger
1 person = burger
1 X chips (to be shared between three?)

I cant see that lot preceding a night of passion if he intended meeting a (secret) lover.nor do i think he would impress after lying in a doorway.guess what i an trying to say is a doubt he was meeting someone he was romantically attached to as he was not out to impress

Brilliant observation, thank you. IT all points towards a 'not giving a damn, crack on regardless' type of attitude. Waiting for a lift or to meet a male or males in a vehicle or on foot with a view to going back to base.

take a look at my previous posts and string them together. See if it all makes sense and all respond if you will. I'll be able to consolidate all the thoughts and possible actions then. TIA.

Newbie who's been lurking a while.....
Desperately sad for the family. My feeling is he walked into something he shouldn't have. Some kind of dispute that he somehow found himself involved in. Hence the possibility that he was bundled into the car that drove the wrong way down the one way street, or sustained some type of severe injury, most likely fatal that also required him being bundled into a car and driven off :(

Thanks for doing that, CJ. This part stands out:

I will make an assumption that when she says CCTV it means all CCTV, private and council alike, that covers the Short Brackland area.

It is stated in a way that makes it sound like there is complete coverage time wise of that area and if that is so then surely a car is seen?

And that then begs the question why the Police have for so many weeks not even hinted at a car leaving yet they must have known about it for weeks if Nicola is right. Nicola does hint at this with...'So, it's trying to trace..' and then quickly stops herself and changes subject.

Why is this all taking so long is my question?

ETA: I now read this right at the end and am now back to being confused again.....

As I've said before, it was around club closing time, there should have been quite a few cars out in BSE at that time (not like heavy peak traffic but more than the occasional car around.

Yet there's mention of one or two cars, one going the wrong way down a one-way street, and in one of Tony's interviews he says they are of interest as they are 'yet to be traced'. That wording suggests to me that other cars in the area around that time have been traced and probably ruled out?

One of the things I keep hearing in this investigation is "that's quite normal for our Corrie". Anyone hearing this ?

A kebab, two burgers, and chips.... yeah, that's him alright, he likes his food.
A kip in the doorway....aye, he's always doing that.
A walk 10 miles home on a Friday....yup, he does that (since retracted).
Drunk enough to be asked to leave a club.....aye, he likes a drink does Corrie

Clearly, this isn't right.
And these comments, whilst I have paraphrased them here, have been said at some point or another by the family. Yet, when you honestly think about it, non of this behaviour is normal. And believe you me, I know some "abnormal" people and have been on "abnormal Friday nights out", but there is no "rhyme or reason" for any other the things we see him doing.

I understand "why" the "Facebook Group" is there. I understand that it is an effective tool for getting out to the public the fact that Corrie is missing and remains missing and as such it may unearth information which possibly would not be found by "traditional methods"....and as such, the police nor the family need not say anything else about what may or may not have gone on.... but seriously, some of the things are simply bizarre !

The fact is...is this "bizarre behaviour" relevant to the fact he has gone missing and (lets face it) is probably dead.

Was he waiting in the door way ?
Because he was physically "there" for two hours, it is suggested he was waiting.
It is suggested that he refused a lift from the USAF serviceman.
Maybe this "over zealous food order" also suggests he knew he was in for a "two hour wait".

If so, what was he waiting for ?
To answer this, maybe we look at what he has done on previous Friday Nights Out....
....and guess what, we don't really have a clue !

If you take the statements thus far presented, then "this is" a normal Friday night out. So, does he always go off somewhere at 3.30am on every average night out ?

didn't he also change his plans for that night ? if so what were the original plans ?

Sure but I can't get my head round the descriptions being used. We see Corrie go to the bins and not come out ergo with total CCTV coverage there must be some footage between all the cameras of a car going or coming from those bins too.

We know this is possible because we have been told the bin lorry was seen going to and away from those exact same bins! We need to know of any 'holes' in coverage to know when/how people or vehicles could be missed.

As for tracing cars well after this case started a few people mentioned the similar Luke Durbin case and I see on the find Luke website there is a still from CCTV of what was a relatively rare car that was never traced. This car
isn't mentioned on the missing person page of the Suffolk Police website.

That is depressing given where we are right now in this case....

I'm still not getting this, how can Nicola be both sure he would have been seen walking but also sure that he could have been in a vehicle without being seen. What if he walked along the path that the possible vehicle took? What am I missing?

I think it could mean that whilst he could get past the main camera unseen....he'd be picked up on another soon after. Isn't it normal for some cams to capture vehicles but not show clear enough images to actually recognise people inside.

Exactly where I am. One obvious point is that the main CCTV camera (the one we have seen Corrie on) is turned away shortly after he walks to the bins but I don't know why Nicola would be so reluctant to just say that?

Then you have the private CCTV the family have seen and the Suffolk Police say they have alternative higher resolution footage that covers the same area. Between all these cameras, cars and people would be captured.
