Hello all, I am new here. Just wanted to say Hello.

I am baffled. Completely baffled by this disappearance. Ive been following it closely like we all have here.

All I can say now is based on Corries very outgoing personality, and from bits and pieces I have heard from family (his brother said he is a 1 man Army), I think he is a very trusting guy, and would literally not think anyone was a weirdo. Because lets face it, theres plenty of weirdos out there.

His got to have gone with someone. There was no reason for him to wait around till 3am.

From his social accounts, on one of them it clearly states "he is waiting for your call".

Any crazy person can read it, see it, follow you on those accounts as they are not locked down or private. Theres plenty of comments from both men and women which he always has thanked them for.

I dunno, I think he arranged to meet someone for a bit of this and that. You can do it through message systems not traceable unless the phone is found, like whatsap etc.

I think he went willingly at first then something went wrong and its 1 person that knows. If they are the only one that knows then, well..... Maybe it will be unsolved...

The gloves are off now mucker. And I don't blame them one bit.
They have come out fighting.

So.... we have

1. the "media black out"
2. the investigation team has now been replaced

There's the D Notice right there.
Not a scrap of evidence that this is related to a "radical plot", but they have had to hand it over.

That is why I worry, when the letter "D" gets mentioned.

Is it just a funding issue? I seem to remember a few posts on these threads that mentioned previous cases in the same force area that were botched/under funded?

Shocking if true. I can't see why the family would say such otherwise..... especially with Nicola being Police herself.

First time I can recall the subject being raised in an actual "live right now" case.

Yeah I do recall the odd case where a new investigation team gets brought in but we (the public) find out after the fact. The Claudia Lawrence case had a new team brought in I think?

One thing I take from the language from the family in this update is that they will take no crap and if they think something isn't right or being done they will shout it from the rooftops or do it themselves.

Honestly I can't blame them. It really shouldn't come to this but I'm glad that between them they are experts themselves.

Bit disappointing that the automated Thunderclap tweets and posts are clicking through to the 'Missing people in and around Norfolk' page (the owner of which is the person who set up the Thunderclap), rather than back to the Thunderclap page (where the updated info has been posted). Even linking through to the the Corrie FB group or the findcorrie.co.uk website would have been better. Feels like anyone clicking through on a Thunderclap post is going to miss the important stuff!

Interesting to see the Marham and Aldershot linked directly to the D notice.

If that was a drug or whatever area it would be the perfect place to spring a trap.

I think other unfortunate families who suffer this type of thing, don't really know what to do.
But in Nicola and "Uncle Tony" (I bet he hates that name !), they have picked a formidable foe.

I wish them every bit of goodwill and heart I can.

Clearly, they have not been presented with ANY evidence that supports a "radical abduction". And if they had, I am sure THEY would be the first to say "okay, we'll run with this line".

This is where the "D Notice" becomes a disgrace.

...and so here's (potentially) the missing piece of the jigsaw.
It's been stated that Corrie is one for the ladies which scoffs at my proposition of the gay/bi scenario. Delete the 'perp' having deviant tendencies and insert new 'perp' as being a scolded male lover. Could it be that the new 'perp' is a rather annoyed husband or boyfriend that read the message sent earlier on in the evening by Corrie to a female unbeknown to her? Could he have secretly grabbed her phone so as to create the impression that his female partner has misplaced it and then acted on her behalf replying to his texts to confirm their illegal liaison and how drunk he is at the bin area or market stall area? Corrie is intercepted near the bins or in the couples car with a ruse to take him to her and is driven via the Barton Mills area?
Hmmm...an affair with the wife/girlfriend of another airman at another base?

No connection to any terrorist group or individual has been confirmed or discounted yet, both remain open investigations, however there appears to be similarities in MO in all three. "

While I remember I just thought of another possible case that could have a DA-Notice attached. The McCann case. I remember early in that case especially (first year) There were numerous quotes from UK government/embassy staff that quoted "national security" as a reason they couldn't speak about the case. Also I remember the McCanns on their return home were escorted by "security services".

The "MO" is a bit strange (but they have to have a "cover all").

He is in the RAF (excludes the Aldershot attempt as it was a suspicious car reported by a Civvie worker)
He is alone
He is in an area known to be frequented by servicemen and servicewomen
HE is male

Speculation

The use of the D Notice since the 1992 review has been "somewhat suspect".
Prior to that, their use was "somewhat criticised" (and to an extent, ignored by the Press, hence the review).

There is another "review" coming up !
They want to make it "er.... less Voluntary".
