The theories about him WAITING for a lift... his Mum said ages ok in a reply on the FB page "he clearly did not fall asleep intentionally". From what we know events seem random that night... getting chucked out Flex (however people wish to phrase it this sounds what happened), to falling asleep in the doorway, to not making it home. If he fell asleep because he was drunk and had no control over it. He can't have been mugged in the doorway as suggested as it would be on TV and there would be info out there he was mugged there and he wouldn't be seen casually strolling with hands in pockets if he had been when he woke up, surely he would be running around and swearing? Could he just not have walked up Short Brackland and fallen or laid down somewhere unseen and hasn't been discovered. It's said there isn't CCTV coverage 100%. Maybe he did stop for a pee, put his phone on the bin, forgot it as pissed and walked up the road where there's no CCTV. The bin area really doesn't seem dark, dingy and blink and you miss it as you walk through. There are far, far worse places. It's too random for muggings turning into murders and abductions?

I was just thinking about the quote about not falling asleep intentionally. If Nicola is correct then the lift theories won't work unless Corrie set an alarm and that would be seen on the CCTV so we may be back to square one again

Loud, gregarious, team medic...that sets him apart straight away within a close knit military community. Drawing attention to the crowd off base is a no, no.

Something of a liability in certain circumstances?

Way back when, it was an alarm that woke him, whilst it then became a text alert seen on the cctv

I don't think I've seen this mentioned (so apologies if it has) but are there any particularly "squaddie" pubs in the town?

Is that something that's been confirmed by the family, I've missed that

Speechless at some of these comments.

Based on what i have seen on social media he is a character thats for sure. Loud, outgoing, stand alone, confident, fearless, trusting type of guy with a very genuine generous side to him. Maybe doesnt see the bad in anyone type of guy. He was living his life and having fun doing whatever he wanted. But sometimes this can come across abit to much for some people. I think he did annoy some guys early on in the night at the pub, from what ive heard with his loud ways and over acting. Drawing attention to yourself in an unnecessary way maybe not a great idea.

That being said, i think he was waiting for a lift then accidentally nodded off and all the others had already gone back to base.
Leaving him in limbo. On the 2nd cctv he looked lost if i am being honest. Not lost as in lost lost, but just lost as in o dam, how i am going to get back now.

Then in a desperate state, asked for a lift off some stranger round that corner. Then maybe that person was unsavoury. Something may have happened. A fight between them over money he may have offered for them to take him back to base. They took him the wrong way? Kicked him out the car. See ya later kind of thing.

A young lad like that who is drunk would not think oooo i will set my alarm... not that sensible...

Actually I remember Nicola making a statement on Facebook that indicated that might have some truth in it. IIRC she talked about him spending 3 hours in pubs and eating multiple things (chips, burger, kebab)?

Anyone else remember this?

This would be one of the first stops if the base was hollow Road, straight down Eastgate, right on to Northgate, left on to Looms Lane.
Would correspond with a normal start time of 3AM for the driver, can only assume wagon was already full if it needed to tip so soon. That is unless the bins belonged to a bar or nightclub and it was on the closing round...

Originally the family said it was an alarm that woke him, this later changed to a text from his brother. They had seen the cctv footage - however they had no sound

That would contradict his brother's original statement that he spoke to Corrie before he went out and that was around 11pm but I do think I remember her saying it

We are all spending alot of time on this and still nothing makes sense. We all want him back. But its just hard to determine what happened. We are turning to character reference which I think is important in these types of cases so we can understand what person they are and what they would do etc. I think there is a clearer picture now.

I personally think he was a very trusting guy. Who didn't see the bad in anyone. Which makes your vulnerable even if you can handle yourself.

Ok, so that would be the request for the photo that he then responded to? Thanks

I agree with that. Gobbing Off is a no,no.

I saved this quote from Nicola:

"Corrie sat on his phone for an hour drinking and talking. Then 3 hours drinking in the pubs. And corrie isn't a princess that drinks slowly. That is why he was unsteady on his feet. But he then ate 2 burgers a kebab and chips... the boys love their food. Then he slept for 2 hours x"

Which contradicts a lot of other statements, saying he was out earlier.

Go for a p*ss... but take your phone out and put it on a bin ?

And the bin driver doesn't see it with his "self loading bin wagon" !

....and no one sees a body in the garden.

Yeah, waiting for "whatever" seems ridiculous !!! in comparison.

There is alot of contradiction. This is why the people got confused to start out. I think the family where trying to protect his personal life as much as possible and try and focus on info of sightings etc. Even Nicola said she wasn't going to go into what Corrie was like as a person as that wasn't relevant in one of her first interviews on TV. Which I can understand from a mothers point of view trying to protect her sons private life. I think she was forced to come out with more info around his character as the weeks went on, in the desperate plea to getting any information. I get it, but maybe it slowed down things holding back on where he was that night. All we knew is he was last seen in brentgrovel street. But the CCTV of that didnt come out for weeks after.
