Also, if the bin area was forensically checked out, does that not also rule out the theory that he was looking for somewhere to pee, surely trace of this even after 48hrs would still be there?

Melmoth you don't need to have fb or be a member to look at posts on the group page. When that login box popsup just click on the 'x' to get rid of it whenever it comes up. Posts can then be read.

It doesn't seem to wrok like that for me. There's no x to click on and the page behind the login box greys out completely.

Eheu!

This was asked some weeks ago and the issue seems to be that urine does not contain DNA [under normal circumstances] so if he did have a wee there'd be no way to tell that it was actually his.

We keep talking about, and Tony keeps mentioning, resources but I really don't get the impression it is that. The officers turning up late and without keys for the hub or the Police not showing 4 minute man isn't anything to do with resources for example. This is more a choice IMO. So the Police must have good reasons for choosing to do this.

The frustrating thing is, even if you trust the right things are being done, how long would you allow things to go before saying enough? Clearly the family are starting to publicly question things again.

Given both Nicola's and Tony's backgrounds/professions I'm really surprised this situation has occurred in the first place. If anybody could understand a tricky investigation it would be them.

Until the Police start talking or the family stop strongly hinting, all we can do is sit here and twiddle our thumbs.

Apart from the resourcing issues, do people think that a reconstruction of Corrie's last movements might be useful to jog people's memories? I know it has been very useful in some previous cases (such as Alice Goss in 2014).<modsnip>
I think that would be a police decision based on a crime having been committed, of which they so far have no evidence it seems or at least haven't shared it with the public.

Nicola just updated on the find Corrie FB that CCTV now been reviewed up until 12 (midday) Saturday..

From Nicola on fb in response to how they know he couldn't have left on foot, also implies military have been involved.

" To clarify for you and others. There are 10 cameras that completely cover ALL exits from the horseshoe area. It has been proven by the military and the police that it is categorically physically impossible to leave ON FOOT without being captured on CCTV. So far CCTV has been viewed up until 12 on Sat afternoon. Corrie does NOT leave on foot. He is not still in there and only 4 vehicles go in the area up to 0800 hours. Work is still ongoing in regards to the vehicles. NO VEHICLES can get into the area without being seen on CCTV but it IS possible for corrie to get in or be put in a vehicle without being seen on CCTV in the horseshoe area. I hope this clarifies things for you x"

It's all becoming so frustrating with no clear way forward. I do sometimes wonder if the police want it to remain a Missing Persons enquiry, just so as resources don't have to be thrown at a murder enquiry. I feel so much for Corrie's family that they seem to be hitting one blank wall after another.

Halle-flippin-lujah! Thanks for posting this!!

So... he definitely didn't leave on foot and there were 4 cars before 8am (and presumably dozens from 8-12). Can they narrow it down by working out which vehicles stopped in the horseshoe area? And can they get shots of the numberplates? Seems like it's the only way forward, to me.

# Option 1 Corrie left in a car between 0325 to 0800

# Option 2 Corrie left in a car after 0800

Note But I thought days ago ALL the unidentified cars.....were now identified. That what Tony stated in his update dated 20th Nov.

  • #194
That is very clearly laid out by Nicola. So why the emphasis on random people walking through the area? Shouldn't the focus be on releasing CCTV and details of the cars?

I doubt any of the people on CCTV could give anything more than colour of a car at best as witnesses. The CCTV could give a lot more potentially. I guess when Tony said the cars had been identified he didn't mean traced?

So she's basically saying 100% Corrie got into one of those 4 vehicles as there is no witnesses placing him in the horseshoe area once market traders started work.

So why the cctv footage for identification? What can they tell them that they don't already know (except maybe the exact vehicle)

Hi,
This is my first post, although I have been a guest and reading though the threads for the past few weeks.
Something that came to me this evening about Corrie and the phone conversation with his brother. I wondered if maybe he'd either started chatting to him, whilst waiting for a reply from the other lads as to which pub they were in! Or if he knew the usual pub route they took and was killing time until he could catch up with them?
I also note that it's been mentioned previously that he was supposed to be going to a party, yet that fell through. I know some of you questioned before, how did he come to have alcohol on him, maybe this was already in his car, as he'd planned to take it with him to the party?

Probably none directly...*but*

The Cornhill camera would capture anyone or vehicle there.
The private CCTV/Cornhill rear car park CCTV could capture anyone or vehicles down Short Brackland.

Importantly I think the above cameras are "fixed" unlike the Greenwoods one so would capture all? Also we don't know how the council cameras are linked and setup. When the Greenwoods camera is looking toward the Grapes or down St John Street the first CCTV camera to capture Corrie might be set to look down toward Greenwoods/the horseshoe?

This isn't "victim bashing" or "family bashing" or "police bashing".
It is merely a point.

Clearly the family and Suffolk police aren't able to work together. However, with the creation of 60,000 plus concerned people and a Media Presence that those people helped to create....

....they need to hand the "public side" over to an appointed individual who is able to work on behalf of the Suffolk police and on behalf of the family, as this is bordering on the ridiculous.

7 days ago, Tony stated there were 4 vehicles (1 of which was the bin lorry) and that all of these vehicles had been identified.

They need to "under promise and over delivery". It is a "live" and very serious investigation. It would have been better to say "a number of vehicles have been identified...and strenuous work is underway to identify them".

If they're low on resources why do the hub? Why not release the facial stills of the people they seem most important? Are we assuming they've had each vehicle forensically searched and discounted? I mean, out of the vehicles they must have spoken to owners to clarify why they were there etc surely they don't all have watertight alibis and if one isn't registered/fake plates/stolen etc then it makes it all the more likely to be the one involved.

The timeline itself really has to be 3.25-4am this can't leave them with too many options here. What about the neighbours of the car owners? Suspicious behaviours and anything unusual happening. If resource is really low why are the vehicles not the priority over some rather grainy footage?

I've said it before, I fail to see the huge mystery. Yes he could have arranged to disappear, arranged a lift or been taken unwillingly but if it comes down to four vehicles then what's the next feasible steps?

Hi North angel and welcome that is the first time I have heard about a party could very well explain the booze in his car!
